What Is Late Position?
Because late position players see how everyone else acts before making their own decision, they can play a wider range of hands profitably. This positional advantage allows for more steals, better bluffing opportunities, and easier pot control. Most winning players play significantly more hands from late position than from early position.

Widen your opening range substantially in late position, especially on the button where you'll have position for the rest of the hand. Be mindful of players still to act behind you, such as the blinds, who can still wake up with a strong hand.
