Peak Hours Guide

When to play for maximum traffic. All times are approximate and based on typical weekday evenings. Weekend traffic is 20-40% higher across all networks.

EU

Europe Peak

18:00 - 23:00 CET

The largest traffic window globally. European evening hours overlap with late-afternoon play from the Americas, creating the highest overall player counts on all international networks.

Best networks: PokerStars, GGPoker, Winamax, iPoker, Unibet

US

Americas Peak

19:00 - 02:00 EST

US-facing networks see peak activity from late evening through midnight Eastern. Sunday nights are the busiest time for US-facing tournament traffic. Regulated US sites peak slightly earlier than offshore sites.

Best networks: WPN, Chico, Ignition, WSOP.com, Global Poker

Asia

Asia Peak

19:00 - 23:00 CST

Asian traffic contributes significantly to GGPoker and PokerStars player counts. The overlap between Asian evening and European afternoon creates a secondary traffic spike on global networks.

Best networks: GGPoker, PokerStars

How We Track Traffic

Disclaimer: These Are Estimates

No poker network publishes official concurrent player counts. The figures on this page are estimates derived from observable lobby data, publicly available table counts, third-party tracking services, and industry reporting. Actual player counts may differ. We update this data monthly and cross-reference multiple sources to ensure the estimates are as accurate as possible.

Our traffic estimates are compiled using several data sources:

  • 1Lobby monitoring: We periodically sample active table counts, player-per-table averages, and waiting lists across each network's poker client.
  • 2Third-party trackers: Services like PokerScout and independent community-run trackers provide historical and real-time traffic data that we incorporate and verify.
  • 3Industry reports: Quarterly earning reports from publicly traded operators (888, Entain, Flutter) provide revenue data that we correlate with traffic trends.
  • 4Community data: Player-reported information from forums, social media, and our own user base supplements the automated data collection.

Peak player counts represent the highest observed concurrent players during a typical week. Average counts reflect a 24-hour average including off-peak hours. Cash table counts include all active ring game tables of any stake or format.

Poker Network Traffic FAQ

Which poker site has the most players?
PokerStars consistently has the highest traffic of any online poker platform, with an estimated peak of 30,000 concurrent players and an average of 15,000. The next-largest is GGPoker with roughly 18,000 peak players. Combined, these two platforms account for more than half of all global online poker traffic.
What time has the most online poker traffic?
Online poker traffic peaks between 18:00 and 22:00 CET (Central European Time) for global and European-facing networks. US-facing sites like WPN, Chico, and Ignition peak between 20:00 and 02:00 EST. Asian networks tend to peak between 19:00 and 23:00 local time. Weekends and major tournament series drive the highest traffic spikes across all networks.
Is online poker traffic growing or declining?
Overall online poker traffic has been stable to slightly growing since 2023. GGPoker, Winamax, WSOP.com, and CoinPoker are the fastest-growing networks in 2025-2026, driven by new markets, innovative features, and US regulated expansion. Legacy networks like partypoker, iPoker, and the Microgaming Poker Network have seen gradual declines. The total global player pool has remained roughly flat, with players migrating toward networks that offer better software and more competitive promotions.
