What Is Push/Fold?
Push/fold strategy becomes optimal once a stack drops low enough, typically around 10-15 big blinds or fewer, that raising to a smaller size and folding to a reraise loses too much value compared to simply shoving. Charts based on independent chip model calculations help players determine precise push/fold ranges based on stack size, position, and tournament stage.

Strategy Tips
Study push/fold charts in advance so you can make fast, accurate decisions once your stack reaches the critical range. Adjust your push/fold ranges based on position, since later position allows for much wider shoving ranges. Factor in ICM pressure near the bubble or final table, which often requires tighter push/fold ranges than pure chip-EV would suggest. Recognize when to transition from a min-raising strategy to a pure push/fold approach as your stack shrinks.
