What Is WTSD (Went to Showdown)?
WTSD (Went To ShowDown) measures how often a player who saw a flop continues all the way to showdown rather than folding along the way. A high WTSD generally indicates a calling-oriented player, while a low WTSD suggests someone who folds more readily or wins pots before showdown through aggression.
Examples
A calling station with a WTSD above 35%, well above the typical 25-30% range.
An aggressive regular with a lower WTSD who wins many pots through bets and folds before showdown.
Strategy Tips
Use a high WTSD as a strong signal to value bet more thinly against that player, since they're demonstrably reluctant to fold once they see a flop. Combine WTSD with WSD to distinguish calling stations (high WTSD, low WSD) from strong, sticky bluff-catchers (high WTSD, higher WSD). Bluff less frequently against players with a high WTSD, since your bluffs will get called down more often than against the average opponent. Track your own WTSD over time as a general health check on your calling tendencies, adjusting if it drifts too high or too low relative to a solid baseline.
