What Is Polarized Range?
Polarized ranges are typically associated with larger bet sizes, including overbets, because the range contains hands that either want to build a big pot or apply maximum pressure as a bluff, without medium-strength hands that would prefer a smaller, safer bet. This construction is common on the river or when a player has range advantage, and it forces opponents into difficult decisions since calls must beat only the value portion of the range.

Strategy Tips

Avoid polarizing your range against opponents who rarely fold, since bluffs lose value against stations.
