Online Poker in Nevada 2026

Nevada is where it all started — the first state to launch regulated online poker in April 2013. Today, WSOP.com is the only licensed operator, but MSIGA shared liquidity connects NV to four other states for tournament fields that rival international festivals. And of course, Nevada is home to the World Series of Poker — the biggest live poker event on Earth. No state in America has a deeper poker DNA.

Las Vegas Live Poker — The World's Best

Nevada's real poker advantage isn't online — it's the live poker ecosystem that no other state can match.

Bellagio Poker Room

The most famous poker room in the world. Bobby's Room (now The Legends Room) hosts the highest-stakes cash games on Earth. The main room runs 40+ tables from $1/$3 to $400/$800. If you play poker, you want to play at the Bellagio at least once.

Aria Poker Room

Modern, upscale, and popular with professional players. 24 tables, excellent dealers, and some of the best mid-to-high-stakes action on the Strip. Regular high-roller tournaments.

Wynn Poker Room

Luxurious room with strong $2/$5 and $5/$10 action. The Wynn attracts a mix of tourists and professionals. Excellent service and a quieter, more refined atmosphere than some Strip rooms.

Horseshoe Las Vegas (WSOP)

Home of the World Series of Poker every summer (May-July). 90+ bracelet events including the $10K Main Event. The largest annual poker festival in the world — 100,000+ entries across all events. WSOP.com online satellites feed directly into live WSOP seats.

Venetian Poker Room

The Venetian runs one of the largest poker rooms on the Strip with 30+ tables. Known for excellent tournament series (Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza) that attract players from around the world during WSOP season.

Off-Strip & Downtown

Orleans, South Point, Green Valley Ranch, and other locals' casinos run active poker rooms with lower-stakes games. Downtown's Golden Nugget and Binion's offer classic Vegas poker experiences. Off-Strip is where the softest games run 24/7.

NV Online Poker Timeline

Feb 2013

Nevada becomes the first state to regulate online poker (poker only, not casino games). The Nevada Gaming Control Board approves regulations for interactive gaming. Nevada's decades of gaming expertise make it the natural pioneer.

Apr 30, 2013

Ultimate Poker launches as the first legal, regulated real-money online poker site in the US. It's a historic moment — the first legal hand of online poker in America since Black Friday. WSOP.com NV follows shortly after.

2013–2014

Ultimate Poker shuts down (November 2014) due to insufficient player volume. Nevada's 3M population proves too small for a ring-fenced market with multiple operators. WSOP.com NV becomes the sole surviving operator — a position it still holds in 2026.

2014–2017

Nevada pioneers interstate online poker compacts, first sharing player pools with Delaware (2015). The concept of multi-state shared liquidity is born in Nevada. WSOP.com NV/DE is the proof of concept for what will become MSIGA.

2017–2018

New Jersey joins the NV/DE compact. The three-state shared pool marks a significant milestone. WSOP.com tournament fields grow dramatically. The MSIGA framework is formalized.

2023–2024

Michigan and West Virginia join MSIGA. The five-state compact gives Nevada access to 25M+ combined population. WSOP.com NV Sunday tournaments regularly guarantee $200K-$500K+. Nevada's small population is no longer a limitation for online poker.

2025–2026

WSOP.com NV remains the sole licensed operator. The site benefits enormously from MSIGA — NV's 3.2M population alone couldn't sustain the tournament guarantees that the 5-state compact enables. Las Vegas continues to host the live WSOP every summer, making NV the spiritual and literal home of poker.

NV Online Poker FAQ

Is online poker legal in Nevada?
Yes. Nevada was the first state to legalize and launch regulated online poker in 2013. WSOP.com is the only licensed operator. Nevada is a founding member of MSIGA (shared liquidity with NJ, MI, DE, WV). Regulated by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Why is WSOP.com the only site in Nevada?
Nevada's 3.2M population couldn't sustain multiple operators. Ultimate Poker launched first but shut down in 2014 due to insufficient traffic. WSOP.com (backed by Caesars/888) survived and has operated as the sole NV online poker site since. MSIGA shared liquidity keeps WSOP.com viable.
Can I use PokerStars or BetMGM in Nevada?
No. Neither PokerStars nor BetMGM operates online poker in Nevada. WSOP.com is the only option. PokerStars was banned from NV during the Black Friday aftermath and has not sought re-entry. If you want PokerStars or BetMGM, you'd need to be in NJ, PA, or MI.
What about live poker in Las Vegas?
Las Vegas has the best live poker in the world. The Bellagio Bobby's Room, Aria Poker Room, Wynn Poker Room, and Horseshoe (formerly Rio, home of the WSOP) offer action from $1/$2 to nosebleed stakes. The World Series of Poker runs every summer (May-July) with 90+ bracelet events.
Do I need to register in person?
Nevada does NOT require in-person registration for online poker (unlike sports betting which requires initial in-person registration at a casino). You can create a WSOP.com NV account entirely online from anywhere in Nevada.
What responsible gambling resources are available?
The Nevada Gaming Control Board regulates responsible gambling. WSOP.com offers deposit/loss/session limits and self-exclusion. Call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-522-4700) — 24/7, free and confidential. Nevada also has a statewide self-exclusion program.

Nevada Online Poker — The Complete Picture

Nevada is poker's home — and its online poker story reflects both the promise and limitations of the US market. The state that invented modern casino poker, that hosts the World Series of Poker every summer, and that pioneered interstate online poker compacts has exactly one online poker site: WSOP.com. One site, one operator, no choice.

But WSOP.com in Nevada is more than adequate — it's excellent. MSIGA shared liquidity means NV's small population (3.2M) punches far above its weight in tournament fields. Sunday majors guarantee $200K+. WSOP Online Bracelet events draw thousands of entries from five states. And the integration with the live WSOP — satellite qualifiers, same brand, same Caesars Rewards — creates a poker ecosystem that no other state can match.

For Nevada poker players, the calculus is simple: grind WSOP.com online for MSIGA tournaments and bracelet events, then walk into the Bellagio, Aria, or Wynn when you want live action. No other state in America offers that combination. Nevada may have only one online site, but it has the deepest poker culture on Earth — and that counts for everything.
