What Is Pot-Committed?
A player becomes pot-committed when the remaining stack is small relative to the pot, meaning even a marginal hand is often correct to call an all-in bet based on the pot odds offered. Being pot-committed frequently arises in tournament play with a short stack, where a preflop raise already puts a substantial fraction of the stack in the middle.
