Step 2: Set realistic inputs
Use ranges that reflect the pool you actually play, not theoretical defaults. If your opponents defend the big blind far tighter than equilibrium, a sim built on equilibrium defense will over-recommend continuation betting. Grounded range construction is the input that determines whether the output means anything.
Step 3: Look at aggregate reports first
Before opening individual hands, read the aggregate view: how often does the solver bet across all flops in this family? Which board textures shift the strategy most? The macro pattern is what you will remember at the table.
Step 4: Write one sentence
End every session with a written rule. For example: "On ace-high dry flops in single-raised pots as the preflop raiser, use a small size at high frequency; on low connected flops, check far more and bet larger when I do." One sentence beats fifty screenshots.
Step 5: Test it in play
Apply the rule for a set number of sessions and mark hands where it felt wrong. Those marked hands become the next study session.
Simplification Is the Point
Solvers mix because mixing is unexploitable. Humans should mostly not mix, because execution errors cost more than the theoretical loss from a pure strategy. The standard approach is to collapse a mixed strategy into a pure one along a sensible axis: block the strongest calls, take the higher-equity line, prefer the option with more playability.
