Tommy Angelo is like the Vince Lombardi of poker coaches. He was a professional player for many years before he started sharing his secrets in 2003. That’s when he created T I L T L E S S, which is the name of his extremely comprehensive, one-on-one, face-to-face poker coaching program. You can read about Tommy and T I L T L E S S in great detail at his blog. Tommy is also considered to be one of the top poker writers. He has been writing for various poker publications since 1999. All of his articles are at his site.
From June 2006 to September 2007, Tommy did not play poker, and he did not take on new clients. He wrote, and wrote, and wrote. The product of that effort is a book called “Elements of Poker.” Here is what Tommy wrote about his book, taken from his website:
Dear Poker Player: I wrote this book to amuse you, inform you, inspire you, and enlighten you.
First, I played a lifetime of poker. Then I taught poker for a few years which caused an accumulation of curriculum. Then I fleshed out the parts of my teaching that I thought would be the most helpful to the most players most often, punctuated it with winks and smiles, and put a binding on it.
I wrote this book for everyone who plays poker or knows anyone who plays poker or even knows how to spell poker. I wrote it for anyone who wants a better A-game, and a better C-game. I tried to make “Elements of Poker” a book that speaks to every player, if not today, then maybe tomorrow.” – Tommy Angelo
