Things are looking up, and down...

2011-02-24 07:23 AM

So I’ve been casually making my way through some volume and I’m running hotter than the sun atm so figured now would be a good time to make a post. Had a few issues settling into online poker but now it’s coming together OK… I started out (over 1700 hands) as a 38/32/10 with a WTSD% of 30.9 and W$SD% of 35.7 and i was stuck -$62.95 at 10NL. Over the last 3000 hands my stats are 25/ ... (continued)

I lose - but do I know why.

2011-02-23 09:52 AM

OK – lost a couple of BI’s yesterday, which is not a good thing. Never is. But after reflecting on this, I think now I am able to be objective and say how or why this happened. I know I played badly, that is easy to say. But can I specifically note why, so I think this how I came to lose 2 BI’s: 1. Played 2 long. Look at the graph, got back to even but wanted to try to win 1 BI before I ... (continued)

Who would have thought winning $3.69 would feel so good...

2011-02-15 10:46 PM

Well I had my 1st decent winning session for a long while. I started off really tight as I said I would. This hand illustrates my point: Poker Stars $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold’em – 6 players – View hand 1181000 DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter BB: $1.73 UTG: $3.84 MP: $1.15 Hero (CO): $2.00 BTN: $1.96 SB: $1.61 Pre Flop: ($0.0 ... (continued)

The brutality of 2NL - Thoughts anyone?

2011-02-07 11:32 PM

Losing at 2NL I guess can be said that you are worst of all losing poker players. And tonight yet again I lost. But I felt I played really well. Would anyone disagree? I would love to get some feedback on tonight’s graph? I lost a couple of flips as a favorite right at the beginning of the session – but just trying not to be results oriented and playing the hand for what it ... (continued)

Thin Red Lineaments

2010-12-07 08:01 PM

I blame Grindcore and grogheadflow. This is from my last 4 or 5 sessions of 50NL and 100NL 6max. Playing poker this way is so much more fun.

Comeback king, part 2

2010-10-28 03:27 PM

First few hundred hands were me 6-tabling 100NL. I did this while watching The Thin Red Line (can you tell by the graph?) and trying to play LAG, taking advantage of reads etc. Unfortunately it didn’t quite work out (a highlight was 3-bet/5-bet shoving AJ in the BB vs a button open/4bet, he had KK, standard). Then I moved back to 50NL to 16 table and grind it out again. I’m still happy th ... (continued)

Red line-aments

2010-10-20 04:53 PM

This is the graph of my last 50k or so hands. It’s a mix of 25NL and 50NL, both 6max and full-ring. It’s interesting that over the last few thousand hands, my red line has stopped being a huge leak and started being a source of profit. I’m not sure what exactly I attribute that to, but I definitely feel that I’ve been playing more aggressively, bluffing in good spots when villains are weak, an ... (continued)

And...we're back

2009-07-25 07:56 AM

Okay, so I’ve been putting in fewer hands by playing fewer tables capping at 8 and then quickly weeding down to the best ones with the best seats and trying to only play 4 at a time. This seems to work better on a lot of levels for me, first and foremost being I run better. Okay, obviously that’s not really true, even if it seems that way sometimes. I think cutting down on my tables cuts down on v ... (continued)
