I see the Rogan Page "liked" the post, great! We at least know now that him or one of his staffers has seen it. Maybe this next week we can think of a second, humorous message, and have someone else post it. if you guys have any ideas, just post them here.

Post any other public figures you can think of that are very outspoken too. Smile

Very awesome!

Thats great news! I listen to the podcast habitually and on occasion Joe brings up the fact that he isn't able to legally bet on the UFC. This is basically the same concept as online poker, on one of the podcasts Joe goes on a rant about how Americans should be able to spend their money freely even if it is for gambling. I'm sure if someone reminds him of this issue on the podcast he would be glad to mention it, he likes to voice his opinion.

Will you take a few moments to stand up for poker? These items take just 30 seconds total to complete. Click your mouse and lose your House and Senate nannies! We focused on House Democratic leadership yesterday, so let's focus on House GOP leadership today:

- If you are an AZ resident, make and like pro-poker posts HERE. Everyone else, please just like the pro-poker posts there.
- Send a prefilled, editable pro-poker Twitter message to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) HERE, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) HERE, GOP Conference Chair Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) HERE and GOP Policy Committee Chair Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) HERE.
- Wait at least an hour, then send these Twitter messages to Rep. Cantor HERE, Rep. McCarthy HERE, Rep. Hensarling HERE, and Rep. Price HERE (if you can't wait an hour, it's better to send all of these at once than not at all).
- Wait at least one more hour, then send these Twitter messages to Rep. Cantor HERE, Rep. McCarthy HERE, Rep. Hensarling HERE, and Rep. Price HERE.

Please reply in this thread with tweeted, done, etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 44 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

I only saw 1 poker comment to Like, but if you guys see any more, post the links here. Smile

Also, has anyone thought of other really outspoken public figures that could help the cause? Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm drawing a blank. My buddy has a weekly podcast with a decent number of subscribers, but he doesn't discuss politics on the show that much (well, not serious ones, anyway). I guess it won't hurt to ask him, though.

Politico reports that we're being heard by the deficit super committee. That's no surprise to anyone who has been following this thread, but the fact that this is public means it's time to turn up the heat! These items take just30 seconds total to complete, so please participate:

- Send a prefilled, editable pro-poker Twitter message to each member of the super committee HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
- Please post a pro-poker comment to the Politico article HERE.We can reach out to the public and to lawmakers there, and we can also show Politico that this is the type of story that generates interest(encouraging them to cover this issue more often).

Please reply in this thread with tweeted, done, etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 45 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

The Politico article is encouraging. Thanks for this great list of easy tasks, Rich. I've done all of the tweeting and will do it again probably in about 12 hours. I also commented all of of the super committee facebook pages tonight with the hope that they'll listen to Barton and Frank.
