I'm not exactly new to the forums, but so far I am more a reader than a writer. Guess that will stay unchanged in the future, but before posting occasionally I'd like to introduce myself shortly:

Just like Benny? Benny the dog?!
Sorry, don't know any Benny - sounds like a movie or something? If not, there really are not many people signed up (yet), probably less than 2,000 worldwide, but I still don't know all of them

hey there, I'm not acctualy a new member, my first contact with DC was on OCT last year when I was a NL10 BE player who knew nothing bout the game. Now I'm kinda improving, trying to beat NL100 now. The other forum I used to post is kinda dead so I'm planing on start posting a bit here.
So I thought "Well, first of all I should Introduce myself"

RL First Name: Mike
Age: 31 (today's my birthday)
Status: Married with three young boys (7,5,2)
Occupation: Program Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Favorite (Sports Team): Texas A&M Aggies
Random Fact: I started on my poker path after my wife cashed and I didn't in a live tourney at the Luxor. I still haven't lived that one down.
DC member you wish you could meet: any member that can successfully resist the ADHD urge to make random "poker moves" at the worst possible times. I haven't quite mastered that and it absolutely kills me!
Oddly enough I am purchasing a subscription to DC as a birthday present to myself. I'm just sane enough to know that the odds are heavily against me ever leaving my job to play poker, but I'm also just crazy enough to believe that with time and effort I could improve my game enough to REALLY consider it.
Somebody told me the other day that a community is what you make of it. I can't really stand 2+2 - maybe I'm just getting old but the maturity level there leaves a lot to be desired. I intend to dive in head first here, especially in the micro NLHE areas. I may be the village idiot at first, but I hope that stage doesn't last long.
So here's to a another first step in my poker education. Sort of like starting that diet on Monday...

RL First Name: Derrick
Age: 26
Status: Single with no known kids
Occupation: I fly planes obv.
Location: An awesome place in Florida between Panama city beach and Pensacola
Favorite (Sports Team, food, place, beach, pet, etc...anything goes here):
-Sports: University of Louisville Cardinals!
-Food: try to keep it healthy but smoothie king and moe's burritos are a staple.
-Place: Vegas is a fun time of course! Seriosuly, I think I can have fun pretty much wherever I am...it's the people that matter!
-Beach: The one I live on!
Random Fact: The plane in my profile pic is a T-34. One time, while flying in formation in it as the wingman, I went into a zero airspeed departure from flight after following lead through the upper part of a barrel roll. True story. I lived.
DC member you wish you could meet: Anyone of you that might want to go up in a plane in Vegas if we happen to be there at the same time.
Another random fact: DC is awesome. If not for this place and it's great instructors/community, I would still be thinking poker is just gambling. Instead I've found an awesome psychological/mathematical game that is a lot of fun and profitable! Thanks, DC.
