In a RUSH to make money

I haven't posted this week because I have been determined not to post a whine fuelled bitch fest of a blog. I have been on a nasty downswing. It sucked. I seem to be dragging myself out of it and hope to finish the second half of the month strongly.

So how do you deal with a dose of the ol' run bad? I'm not expert, but here is what works for me.

1) Move down early enough. Don't wait until you are down to your 40 buyins at the level you play at. I was nearly at 400NL, but after dropping somewhere around 15 buyins at 200NL (but in reality it was a lot worse than this EV wise), I moved down to half 100NL and half 200NL. I had plenty to play 200NL, but I know that I was struggling to keep my head on straight.

2) Don't be tempted to completely overhaul your game. Focus on what you were doing that worked and stick with it.

3) That being said, do go over your HEM and check for common issues. I was definitely starting to lose confidence with my squeezing rage for instance and was calling people down too lightly.

4) Make good quits. Recognise when you aren't just running bad, but are also playing bad.

5) Don't write whine filled blogs. Seriously, no one gives a shit.

Lastly, I have started to 6 table RUSH, 4 tabling 200NL and 2 tabling 100NL. Seems to be going well, but I'll have to see how it goes. I also treated myself to a $2000 black card bonus and I am working that off already grinded $350 bucks off it in 3 days of playing. Pretty sweet.
