Golf tourney results and a little poker
This morning I woke up at about 9am. It felt good. I went to bed at about midnight last night and it was nice to get a good nights sleep after Friday night's bender. Moped around till 11am when my brother and I went to the golf course. We played a practice round before the tourney started because we knew we would need it. Come to find out we needed it badly. The practice round went horrible and me or my brother couldn't do anything right. 1pm came around and the tourney started. The tournament was best ball format and each player played the hole out and we took the best score each hole. To make a long story short, we both had good games and shot two over par and won the tournament by four strokes. We both always play the course bare foot so that got a few stares. There were 18 teams. Honestly we were surprised we won cause two over isn't that good, but hey we'll take it. It's the first golf tournament we have ever won, so we are pretty stoked. We ended up getting a couple of plaques and we'll get our names in the paper.
I got home at about 4:30 and played 36 games. I was tired as hell and was struggling to stay awake the whole time. The first set sucked, the second was awesome and then the third one sucked again. Since I only played a few games today I really don't want to look at the results cause it's just going to cause unnecessary stress.
Then my brother, his wife and I went over to my parents' house to watch True Blood. Looooove that show. I've read most of the books and it's awesome to see what they do with the show.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my counselor at 9am. I'm really not looking forward to it because I am running out of things to talk about. Last week I did a test to see if I have ADD, so I guess it'll be nice to find out the results. This also might be my last appointment because my health insurance runs out at the end of this month. In the afternoon my brother and I are going to go play 18 holes at the nicest golf course in town, so I"m super stoked about that. I haven't played there in a few years and it's about two minutes from my house. Hopefully I can get a decent amount of poker in, but we'll see about that. Laterz
