Sad Post
I found out the other day that a former student at my (very small) high school died from injuries suffered in a ski accident. He was 4 or 5 years younger than I was so I didn’t know him well, but he played soccer and I knew of him from my old coach, with whom I am still in infrequent contact.
He is the third person who I attended school with to pass away in the last several years. All of them passed before they turned 25.
This is a difficult post for me to write. I don’t feel like I knew him well enough to write any kind of sufficient memorial, but I do feel a kind of connection to him. Perhaps it’s best if I leave it there, but I will say one more thing anyway. I hope it makes sense.
No matter what happens to you over the course of your “poker lifeâ€, never forget that it’s only a game. There’s a whole world out there, and you should find a way to balance poker within that world, not to squeeze the world into poker.
