PokerStars Reload Challenge
Since the prolonged downswing (caused largely by losing play) and Poker Strike in 2010, I've been an extremely low volume player. I made $1/2 LHE SH my default game this year and have been content to squeeze in enough hands each month to maintain PokerStars Silver Star status. The rest of my time is focused on real life matters like the day job.
Since Silver Star is quite easy to maintain at $1/2, I've been thinking about picking one month to go for Gold Star this year. With the arrival of the Reload Bonus, there's a perfect opportunity to go for Gold and attempt to clear the $150 bonus at the same time. Due to work commitments, I've had to span the reload bonus window across March and April so the Gold month will most likely be one of these months.
In order to clear the bonus, I need to put in at least 300 hands a day. This equates to two or three tables for about 60-90 minutes. My regular sessions are maybe 40-60 minutes across one or two tables!
Anyhow, I started the challenge 3 days ago and it started off pretty bad! I've been blogging about it on my wordpress blog but thought I should share with DC. I suspect it's no coincidence the first DC post is after recovering from the initial run-play-bad :)
