Whats the haps?
Hey all,
I’ve been fairly busy of late. Trying to organise anything and everything, well pretending to.
Summer School: Finally finished up for the Summer, no classes for 4 weeks or so, BOOM BOOM PAOW. Wasn’t fun with the compulsory classes and them cramming all the material into fewer weeks, but was well worth it.
Poker: My goal was to rake 5k for the month which would earn a extra bonus in the RTR race, but looks like I’m only going to get to 3k at most. Ended up being a lot busier than anticipated, didnt play at all for first 10days or so. In terms of results, its been a frustrating month, it started of with a hiss and a roar, was up 20 buyins or so, but then managed to drop them all back and have been Breakeven since. At least I’m established at 100nl now. Hopefully put in a few *LOCKDOWN *sessions in February and can start taking shots at 200nl toward the end of the month.
Tournaments= Why do I play them!
*Life: *Been partying hard as per norm, haven’t drunk during the week last couple weeks which has been different but not a bad thing. Have started to cook more again, generally going with a salad with a meat on the side and a bit of french dressing on top. Meet people for lunch a lot and in the weekends the cooking aspect goes out the window, but am working on that.
Should be a stunning next few weeks. Have a 21st tomorrow night, the girls are both doing their 21 shots so they will be in top form. On Saturday its the ‘races’, everyone heads out to Trentham race course for a day of fun. Another 21st on the Saturday night, but not sure if I will make that. On Sunday it is the 2nd Annual Smirnoff Challenge. First to the bottle of a box of Double Black Smirnoffs wins (19 Standards). Was good laugh last year, no doubt will be this year.
The following week is the Wellington 7’s (Rugby). That is the biggest week in Wellington, I am not going to the event itself, but will drink way and watch everyone on their costumes (if your not in one you are looked at funny). They close the main streets off at night, so its a instant party success. Then in a fortnight is Homegrown, 5 different stages setup on the Wharf with bands playing from Midday till 11pm. Been to that the last couple years, and it is a general good day out with friends.
Not sure how much poker will actually be played given that I move out of my current flat in a week and have no fixed place to live as of yet. Have plenty of places to stay though for a few weeks so it will be fine.
Have a good one all.
Cheers,
Jub
