poker career over..

before it even began.  Bottom line is the micro games are unbeatable.  You can say all you want about playing ABC poker but even that will only win you a pot or two per session.  When EVERY player calls EVERY hand down to the river, it becomes ALL ABOUT THE CARDS and now we are pretty much playing black jack lol.  I can't afford to play live no limit games.  I can afford to play the 3/6 game at my local card room but that one is just as unbeatable if not more.  I need to make $500 online before I can withdrawl so that tells me I wasted the $20 i deposited.  My poker career is over already, I can't win any money because I can't afford to play the right game.  It's too bad because I think i have some skills, not many but some.  enough to pursue the game more but not at these stakes.  You can't beat them.  Point blank period

What the heck??

Tonights session started off alright.  I was up a couple dollars on the .02/.05 cash game online.  I decided to leave the table and register for a MTT.  It was only 21 players and I felt I had a good chance to at least cash.  I had won a few hands and I was dealt 10-10 UTG.  I raised to four times the blind, everyone folds and the big blind calls.  The flop comes up 4-7-2.  BB checks, I bet and he calls.  Turn is a 9, then he bets.  I raise and he shoves.  I called because I felt like I still had the best hand.  He turns over 42s.  Two pair on the flop and now Im out of the tourney.  as a beginner this upsets me.  I dont know if I made the mistake by not playing more of a premium hand in that position...however, even if it was rockets and I played it the same way I would have lost to the same crap.  The way I see it, in that situation I had no chance.  arent I going to get beat out by fish like that at times? or did I make the wrong move by playing pocket tens UTG?  I would make the same decision next time if I had to.  I may be back on the tables tonight, not sure yet.  I am trying hard not to get into that "I need to win it back" mindset.

First post

So here we go people, Im on my way to building a bankroll. I played poker on and off for about 4 years now. I was starting to get serious online until full tilt got shut down in the US. About 3 weeks ago i found a site ti play on and depositied $20. As of now i have $42 in my account. I guess i should be happy that i have doubled my investment. I cant help but feel like i should be winning more though. I have been playing a few hours every day since i started back and i also have this handy bankroll analyzer app on my phone that keeps track of everything. Its very helpful. I mostly play .02/.05 cash games right now. I play SnGs and MTTs as well. Last night i played a $1000 grtd MTT for beginners. 170 entrants i came in 25th. I guess thats noy bad. I consistently cash when in the tourneys but just barely make my money back. I need to get over that hump and win a prize thats worth playing 3 hours for haha. Last night i specifically remember where i messed up. I had KQs on the cut off. BB who is also short stack, shoves PF. Everyone folds and I call. He had AQs. In that position no matter what he had i should have folded that hand. I dont understand why i called. That crippled my stack and i finished shortly after only netting $2.70 for 3 hours of work. I could have done better now that i look back on it. Ive been close to the $50 mark a few times but havent been able to break it. TOnight may be the night....
