Dual/Multiple Audio Videos

This week I made a dual audio video with one of the guys from our Secret HQ group-. I thought I’d done pretty well, but upon review there are some significant problems with the end result. There are some really big errors in my logic at times, and the balance of the dialogue is really skewed towards me talking and him listening. Additionally, I have some really annoying verbal tics that I need to work out. If anyone has any advice on how to heighten awareness of these things whilst actually recording them, I’m willing to listen to any reasonable advice. Overall though, I think that if I can do a couple more of these I should soon be producing content worth posting on the blog.

The video actually took quite a bit of time to prepare. First, Chris recorded the original footage whilst playing the hands. Second, I watched it through once and made notes on the hands I wanted to talk about; there were about 15 spots over a 35 minute video clip. Eventually, after a week of delays, we had a Skype session where I replayed the video, we watched over the hands of interest, and recorded the dual audio commentary. Finally, I had to produce the re-recorded footage and synch it with the dual audio. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the audio from the SkypeCallRecorder after spending so much on my headset; it’s free software so I can’t really complain, or justify buying Pamela.

I’d really like to get better at doing these, so if anyone has a short video of 25NL or 50NL 6max NLHE they would like me to take a look at then send me a message and maybe we can put something together.
