There are a ton of games that I think would make for great poker games. My favorite to play is one my friends made up called Nebraska Splitem. Everyone gets 6 cards and you split your cards into a low and a hi (3 cards for each). The betting and board just plays like Holdem. But your designated low hand can only win the low and your high can only win the high.

The you describe sounds a lot like hi/lo declare, which used to be a pretty popular game to the best of my knowledge and definitely has a lot of skill to it. There is a 5/10 PLO game at a dog track near me in Florida which, as best I can tell, is one of the softest PLO games I've EVER seen. If only I had the money to sit in it. GL!

I wouldn't really consider it a big swing, nor was the first part a slow grind. Just one particular pattern of variance over a random 1300 hand sample. If anything, the second half success was more a result of one particular fish with a deep stack (I took most of it from him in the first two hands above). The "swing" was simply a result of a lost flip at 10/20: AJT8 < AA8h7h on a J98hh flop in a RR pot.

Congrats! looks like you had a big swing in the middle. What happened there and how did you adjust your play? Looks like you recovered very well. The first half looks like a slow grind and the second half looks like you had huge variance.

I figured that all the position players left at the end of the draft were chumps who wouldn't see playing time, so I'd pick an extra kicker for matchups. Remains to be seen if kickers benefit from matchups as much as QBs/RBs/WRs do, but we'll see.

Arian Foster is going to be a beast imo. Nicks is a solid #3. Cowboys D isn't shabby at all w/ their pass rush. Two kickers seems weird though.

Your receiving core and TE are great. Your QB could turn out to be a top 5 QB if he has a good year, Schaub is very consistant & has Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter (if he can stay healthy) and Jacoby Jones (SLEEPER!!) Your RBs could use some work, but Turner will have some good games. Arian Foster will be serviceable this year but Slaton has fumble-itis. I like Jonathon Stewart a lot, but he's gotta get out of DeAngelo Williams' shadow. I'd say you have an above average team! If there are 3 pay-outs, and you have my luck, you'll finish 4th this year! You get to ride-out the whole season on the bubble just to get completely let down in Week 15...congrats!

Yea, that was my first thought re: the stud hand. I think if stud is your weakest game, you should be folding 3rd to an EP raise from a K since your kicker is so weak. Give me ATT and I raise. I also think 5th might be a fold.

Okay, the late positions I can understand: since obviously preflop matters more than postflop in this game, who cares you're gonna be OOP for the rest of the hand? But the HJ preceding being the CO is just golden. As far as I remember, Tommy Angelo named HJ that because you can hijack the button from the BTN player. What's going on here, I guess, is that you can hijack the cut-off from someone. Soooo advanced :)

I love TableNinja for SnGs, but I advise strongly against using it for cash-game type environments as you auto-pilot SOOO much more easily. Although it is nice to have a mathematically consistent bet size typed in for every street, you are missing a ton of EV by NOT adjusting your bet size away from that size; the bet size that *best* suits the purpose of the bet.

If you don't really need your mouse or keyboard for anything, try using a gamepad and playing at your couch. I tried tableninja with an old Microsoft sidewinder gamepad which is like a playstation controller. Its definately more ergonomic than mouse and keyboard. You can't write notes but how much notes can you write 20-tabling hyperturbos anyway. ps. Massmultitabling caused occasional misclicks, imperfect reads and increased tilt to me..

Its not really the amount that was bothersome, I've lost more than that on many days. I reckon it was simply the fact that it was almost entirely caused by losing pots I "should have won". Sigh, PLO.

Im still amazed how calm you seem. Losing 2k in 6 hours. I would of jumped off my roof that night. It's really good that you realized that you made some bad calls. Gotta learn from those mistakes. looks like roughly a 10% roi which is white-hot and obviously a small sample for the amount of variance in these things. for reference, i'm pretty sure the best sng players at decent stakes (in regular or turbo 9-mans) win at like 5% roi and that's in structures that allow for more of an edge to exist.

I have a good insider's tip for you. I know a really small, fantastic local restaurant down under. It's a little tough to find but well worth it if you do. It's called "Outback Steakhouse". They have this thing they do with an onion...They call it the "Awesome Blossom"...It's divine. Check it out if you have the time.

1) I've got good to great equity against most of his range 2) He's not so deep, so if we do run into that worst-case scenario its not too awful 3) I don't really think I can c/c given that I have so few concealed and nutty outs (just a few 8's imo). So, best to just pound it in there and hope to realize my equity, or take it down uncontested.
