My dilemma.... Help!
So if you have read my last blog post, you would know that I am on an epic downswing. Mentally I was defeated and my bankroll took a real big hit. So... it's back to the grinding board. Now here is my Dilemma. I play mixed games, I have been profitable in every game I've ever played. My main income came from high stakes razz games and 10 game, however mixed games is hard to really track progress/focus on each game. I also have made a good amount of money in Rush poker. Essentially I don't know which game to focus on to rebuild my roll. My decision on the game I play should account for where the easiest/most profitable games are, however I don't want to grind out a form of poker that will be dried up and tough in a couple of months. So this brings us to CAP PLO. I have some friends that have made millions at CAP PLO and it has always been soft. So I think that CAP Plo is always an option as well.
When picking a game to grind out for a living what are your criteria?

I've decided to go back to my roots and grind out stud hi for a month and see how it goes. The new HU super turbo stud hi sngs are awesome as well. Also dabbling in rush... =]

For someone like you (good and +EV in all games). Id recomend just waking up doing your morning routine and think which game you'd rather play today. Pick 2 or 3 games and just play the ones that have the softest line up.
I know grinding 1 form of poker can just get super mundane and boring leading you to not play your A game. If you are good at all games make sure you stay fresh and on your A game. You can do this by thinking "What game do I WANT to play today?" And quit thinking "what game do I HAVE to play today to grind back my losses?"

Just table select whatever is good. I play a mix of 10 game, 8 game, plo, tourneys, stud hi, stud8...you should just be looking at the lobbys and figuring out what games are best.
Also I really wouldn't worry about a game drying up, because you have fall backs. I felt like 10 game dried up for a bit a few months back and so I just focused more on PLO, but I still checked the 10 game lobby. Once I noticed the tough players moved on or weren't playing at the time I'd hop in a game again. The action is cyclical.

ya 10 game is always good imo, rough though since it never runs midstakes, just small stakes or nosebleed
