To Hedge, or not to Hedge
- As most of my readers know I have a bet on the Steelers at 15-1 to win the superbowl. Tomorrow they play a very tough Jets team and I'm about 95% sure I'm not hedging tomorrow. For one, I hate it. Two I don't think Mark Sanchez is good at all and think he makes at least one huge mistake before the end of the game. With that being said, the Jets scare the hell out of me and I'm not hedging more or less due to my hatred of the Jets than anything else. Plus I don't want to have to do it now and the Superbowl in case they win.
- Just recorded a 50nl duel video that I thought went really well. Might be out as early as this Tuesday. At first I wasn't sure how sharp I'd be due to playing a bunch of PLO lately but my game felt really good. Very happy to see that so when I move up I don't have to play one game exclusively.
- Also, would like to toss out a thank you to DJ Sensei. His HU PLO video has been by far the biggest reason for my improvement in HU PLO. Before I was calling 3bets way too wide and calling way too many river bets. Everything seems so much easier when you get 4 cards.
- Besides getting shot in the back of the head, do you know what else Abraham Lincoln did?
- Go Steelers!

What do you feel is the optimal % of time to be calling 3bs in HU PLO? My last 4-5 villains (I dont play often) have all called 100% of my 3bs. I just laugh when I see this. Oh and I play anyone so its not like I table select only fish. I fold to around 55% of 3bs but am not sure if that is too much (I open 90-100% of hands).

I'm not exactly sure but my guess is I fold to about 40% of 3bets. I try to stay away from a lot of paired hands, double suited hands that look a lot better than they are, and low ace rundowns.
