Take This Meyers-Briggs Personality Test

So, since I’ve always struggled with school and have been having a tough time recently especially I decided to take my fathers advice and take a personality test. This personality test tells you what type of person you are, how you learn, how you gain your energy, how you react during stress and what jobs are most compatible with you. It also says how you communicate and that helps see how others perceive you.

The one I post on here wont tell you all of that but it will give you a good idea. I actually had someone sit down and explain it to me for about an hour and a half.

I wish I took this test 10 years ago or even right before college. I think it would have saved me lots of anger, frustration and regret with school. The link I post on here to the test is free but I spent $30 on it. It’s worth way more than that. In fact, I can’t really put a price on its worth alone. If you find a place that gives you this test go take it now! It will give you a ton of insight into your thought process and why you act a certain way.

The reason I want to post it is because it really enlightened me and inspired me. Ever since I took this test I think about past experiences and how misunderstood and lost I was. Its pointing me in the right direction.

Most importantly for you guys it will help you understand how you learn. As a poker player thats integral to advancing your knowledge and becoming a great winning player. I am also curious to see what personality types people get. Eventually, I would like to test other people to see if successful poker players fall under one category than another….

Well, heres the link if you’re sick of reading about it……

Personality test based on Jung – Myers-Briggs typology

This came straight from the report I took at the counseling center. What I got was INTP which is broken down like this:
I-“People who prefer introversion tend to focus their attention on the inner world of ideas and impressions”
N-Means Intuition “People who prefer intuition tend to take information from patterns and the big picture and focus on future possibilities”. Hmmmmmm, that sounds kind of like something we all like to do……
T-Thinking-“People who prefer thinking tend to make decisions based primarily on logic and on objective analysis of cause and effect”
P-Perceiving-“People who prefer perceiving tend to like a flexible and spontaneous approach to life and prefer to keep their options open”

If that stuff doesn’t sound like a poker player I don’t know what does. INTP’s also only hit about 3-4% of the population. On top of that my coach is also an INTP!! This is very encouraging in my goal to become sufficient enough in poker to support myself fully.

So, I encourage you all to take this test and post comments about it. I’m curious to see what categories everyone falls under. Also, If you fall under INTP I could give you a little more information on it from what the counselor told me.

On top of all that you can go a few steps further and see what type of person you are compatible with in a relationship. Apparently my GF and I are completely incompatible…..
