I just want to be free
Free by my definition not by anyone elses. In a sense you become a by-product of whatever you pour your heart and soul into. This becomes your own sanctuary. It's where you're at peace and where you want to be mentally or physically.
When you do what you truly want to do and with pure joy then your world as you've always wanted will form around you. Thats what I'm doing right now and I can feel what I want coming together. I'm not there yet buts its coming my way!
It's not always this way. For a long time I knew what I DIDN'T want and all that stuff would come my way instead. It's quite an adjustment to declare what you do want because you're so used to the other side. When you start that process its like the world appears in different colors.
I really really want to travel. Yeah, everyone wants to do that right? I guess so but I feel like it appears to be difficult for people to strive for that lifestyle because thats not the norm. By norm I mean work 40+ hours a week Mon-Fri, have a fam and take a few vacations a year.
I've never wanted that. There I go again, declaring what I don't want......
I do WANT TO TRAVEL. I do WANT TO BE A SUCCESSFUL POKER PLAYER. I do WANT TO BUY A HOUSE. I do WANT TO GET MYSELF OUT OF DEBT.
A lot of the appeal of being a professional poker player is that you can sit around all day, sleep in, smoke weed all day and set your own hours. Well thats the lazy mans dream and that dream never comes true. Well, it does but let me explain.....
It doesn't come about without some intense grind and hard work. When you look at these successful poker players doing this you think wow! They must be geniuses because all they do is sit around, smoke weed and play poker all day. Well, it appears that way but they have put in hours and hours of hard work at the table and away from it. They aren't all geniuses but yeah some of them are but its not a requirement to graduate from Poker U. When you do what you love it appears effortless to those around you. Its an illusion.
I don't want to be a poker bum. I want to be a hustler, grinding and when I'm running bad or don't want to play look for new business opportunities or ways to support my lifestyle. I want to be in a new city every other month meeting new people and going to fresh shows. I want fresh gear and most definitely fresh kicks. I want to get lost in a forest in another country or hike a mountain I have never even heard of. I want to snowboard in Switzerland and go sky diving in Ibiza. I want to raaaggggeee at Sankeys in Manchester!!
I want my own house for when I come back from my adventures to sit back unwind and smoke a blunt at. I want a big comfortable bed I can pass out in for days. I want a DJ set up so I can mix beats on my free time, you know, just for fun!
But of course I want to be balanced. I don't want to party 24/7 but I want the option of being able to party 24/7. I want to be balanced. As water flows its much easier to flow down than it is up. Its much easier for things to fall apart rather than put themselves back together.
I want to be free. Not your free or the American dream free. I want to be MY free. Just the way I envision it to the most fine details.
I suggest you think about the same things so when you make it you won't be lost........
On a side note: Kid Cudi's new CD The Legend Of Mr. Rager is out!!! I highly suggest you download it immediately and listen to the track Mr. Rager. Epic CD and Epic Song!

If you really want those freedoms you have to be the guy that works harder than everyone else and never quits even when you're at the top. GL.

Right. On the most basic level thats what I am talking about.
it looks effortless when people become successful but in reality they're working 20% harder than anyone else. The only difference is that they love what they're doing so they make it look easy.
