Unforgiving Army of 52 Soldiers

Dear Blog,

   Here I am again. Still kicking, still plotting evil plans to crush my competition at the tables. I slipped a bit off my poker schedule and while study was good, I watched one series and started another and I fell I`m a bit less clueless in Holdem,  my practice part wasn`t optimal and I ended up playing only 29h this week. I have hard time starting my sessions, the fear of losing takes over me first 10-15mins of the first session of the day and sometimes I end up not playing that session at all because of it, I hate that felling....

  As I mentioned last week I was about to take my second shot and it went well. I didn`t bust my 4BI shot in my first session this time and managed to pick up some more ammo to continue shooting through this new limit. I`m still short for next limit but hopefully I will continue to play good and variance won`t be such a bitch and will be able to start taking shots by the end of next week. Also I played some ZOOM this week, mostly when I was too lazy to table select on regular tables, and it went good, mostly what I like about ZOOM is when stacks gets deep, that doesn`t  happen often at regular tables, usually if weak player doubles up he runs off and the table breaks but in zoom you play deep stacked poker more often. Still I think regular tables are much better then ZOOM with decent effort in table and seat selection.

     Next week I will put more time at the tables, well at least till Tuesday when I will go visit my parents and will be back on Sunday only. So keep your spirits up and have a good next week.

Dear Blog,

   Hey! Me again. It`s been a week since my first blog post and it was a decent week for me. I watched one training series over this week with note taking (ended up with 16 pages of notes), joined my first study group and booked in 38h of play at the tables. And I suck a bit less at Holdem now.

   In the middle of the week I was able to bounce back from ZOOM blunder from earlier and was able to lock a 4BI worth of ammo for a shot in higher limits. Guess how that went? Yea, you guessed it right. I lost all of it in my first 2h session. That session left me wondering about the record time/amount of hands it took for someone to bust ~4BI shot without playing bad? Anyways, I wanted to continue to play "to get even" so bad... ("Walking away is easy. The hard part is to stand up", Tommy Angelo), but after a 10 min break I dropped down back in limits to grind another 4BI ammo. It took me 2 days to do that and today I`m ready to take another 4BI shot. If I lose? Mehh no big deal, I`ll just grind another one till I make it!

   For next week I will continue to follow my schedule and hopefully continue to improve and get better in Holdem. Good luck to you all and see you at the tables!

Dear Blog,


   I decided to start writing blog finally and I think it will keep me motivated to put in good effort to achieve things that I desire. I designed daily schedule for myself. It basically consists of 2h training, 2,5h study time, 3 poker sessions amounting to 7h of play if I don`t have anything else to do and one day off in a week. We`ll see how that will go. I will try to update this blog at least weakly.

   Last few days were not kind to me at the felt, especially ZOOM tables. At first it was ok and everything was normal, but then bombs start flying all over the place and what can you do other then do deep sigh, cover your ears with your hands and pray it will stop eventually. So I packed my shit, dropped down in stakes, went back to regular tables and forgot about ZOOM for time being to rebuild my broken confidence, lick my wounds and regroup.
   It didn`t stop for couple more days (not entirely without my fault :) ) until this evening, when I saw some light between clouds and booked a solid winning session. I decided to end it half hour earlier, even thought the tables were still good, to have the rest of the evening with positive mood and start my blog on a high note :). I hope it will continue to be sunny. That`s about it for this time so see ya and until next time.
