I could use a quick check on a hand...

Unfortunately, I'm not at my home computer, so I am copying and pasting what I sent a friend....so it's not all pretty and formatted correctly.

Background: I've been working on being more aggressive.  In this hand, I found two of the things that I've been thinking about a lot in my game...being more aggressive against looser players, and pushing more with my draws.  Villain is 40/20ish... So here it is:

(UTG): $4.39
(UTG+1): $2.74
 (MP): $4.51
 (MP+1): $4.32
VILLAIN (LP): $2.41
(CO): $4.06
HERO (BTN): $3.79
 (SB): $4.24
 (BB): $4.42

XXX posts SB $0.02, XXX posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: ($0.06) HERO has Ks 9s

fold, fold, fold, fold, VILLAIN raises to $0.12, fold, HERO calls $0.12, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.30, 2 players) 8s Ts Jd
VILLAIN bets $0.30, HERO raises to $0.85, VILLAIN raises to $2.29 and is all-in, HERO calls $1.44

Turn: ($4.88, 2 players) 3h

River: ($4.88, 2 players) 3d

VILLAIN shows Qc 9c (Straight, Queen High) (PreFlop 29%, Flop 57%, Turn 75%)
HERO shows Ks 9s (One Pair, Threes) (PreFlop 71%, Flop 43%, Turn 25%)
VILLAIN wins $4.64

Hero folds preflop. Even in position, K9s is easily dominated and you're missing the flop quite often and will be forced to fold to aggression. If you think that your hand is ahead of LAGGy villain OTB, then 3! and go from there.

If he's not going to 4bet bluff, I'd 3bet this hand against this type of villain a lot. Once we get to the flop like this, I think you played it fine.

Yeah, normally I would have folded pre, but I felt that with this particular villain, I'm stacking him when I hit a flop well, because I think he thought I was overly tight. It was just a gut feel against a guy who is a "LAGtard" as they say.
And I don't know too much about his 4bet range quite yet. I hadn't seen him four bet, but I had seen him call a lot of 3bets.
