Poker Video: MTT/SNG by fslexcduck (Mid Stakes)

HI! Unfortynately when I press play button the screen turns green and stays same till the end of the video. When i downloaded it the screen is black (the voice works).
Does any1 know how to fix it? Someone with same problem?

I just want to start off by saying that I LOVE your videos. I'll be asking a lot of questions as they come using the timeline function. Please don't feel obligated to answer all of them because I'd be just as happy if you only end up answer a couple. Thanks for making the video!

If the BB had 30-40bbs, would you flat the UTG+1 shove instead of shove with your AA? I think with the stack sizes we have here, it wouldn't make a difference but if the BB had 30-40bbs he might reship a little lighter over your call whereas he might just fold if you shove.

Bet sizing is still something I'm still trying to work on. I've used 1/3 psb as my smallest bet size but you are using 1/4 psb here. I really like this bet size against a competent thinking player since you have so much leverage. He can't and won't call with hands that have a single club, but what about against a weaker player? I play low stakes mtts and there are a lot of weaker players who will look at their two hole cards and the pot odds they are getting w/o much thought to what I can have and just click call. The 1/4 psb would give him 5:1 to call which might be a bit too enticing. So I guess my question is how would you flex your bet size vs a weaker player and how much would you bet (assuming you bet)?

Did the fact that you had him covered and had no chance of busting influence your decision to stick it in? I feel like it's usually easier to make moves like this when your tournament life is not on the line. Would it be a leak if you pass up on more spots like this when you have equal stack sizes, but not when you have your opponent covered?

If you get c/rai by a competent player OTT, are you calling with overpairs QQ+? I feel like this is a pretty sick spot against a good player who can hand read b/c your range is capped at JJ+ while his range can have any of the 3 sets and overpairs. Obviously he would need to have a very accurate read that you can fold QQ+ to a c/rai to do it but it would seem that this is a very profitable spot in hsmtts against very good regs.

I think it makes a lot of sense to check back the turn on a lot of cards. We gain additional information as to the strength of his hand based on his river action and bet sizing. A check back also makes our hand look much more like a made hand going for pot control which will give our river bets more respect.

When you say that you are going to put a lot of money into the pot if the turn is a card that gives you a lot of outs, are you referring to spades specifically?

Can you elaborate on why the turn is such a bad card? Is it because you expect to him c/r bluff with mostly gutters like 67 and A2?

I dont think the fact that your defending range with this stack size is alot tighter helps you in this spot. I think it takes away alot of the A8 A9 type hands from your range. Your always goin to get it in w AQ+ and 99. I expect you to defend alot of suited broadways as its kinda too deep to just jam them. This is just one of those spots where your bluffing range is narrow, but your valuebetting range is actually even smaller. Its a very optimistic call, and I dont expect him to be considering most of these things anyway, but certainly will be wrong to call it bad.

What merits does 4b jamming have v 4b ~1/3 of his stack or a clickback 4b here?
Does this actually have more folders equity?
Are you balancing in this spot with monster pairs or AKo/s ? I assume not in big/many fish fields.
Do you think 4b jamming gets him to fold 5b hands which dominate you (A7+)

I wonder about the folders equity of jamming v 4b calling a pot commiting size. even a size ridiculous like 90%+ of his stack.

Thanks a lot for this post Vanessa. I really learned a lot and it's giving me the courage to make bolder moves. I have a lot of respect for your game and believe that you create new ways of looking at plays by being non-conventional. There are lots of looks that are given in this game that are to mean that something is "standard". Screw that! I gotta go. I just got AA for the third time in 20 min. No Joke.
