I really liked it.
I liked to watch it to get some basic stuff back into my head.
Sometimes you do things because it's just so logical, but it wasn't, once

I do believe Jooballin can loosen up a bit. So far as I can see the 10nl tables are extremely tight, so I don't really know how good of an idea it is to do the same?

59:00 A9s I really like the discussion about planning what to do on the Turn after Villain checks OOP and Hero bets and don't second guess your read if he check shoves.

I think it's also very good to really be careful about isolating when there are shorties in the hand,
and I really like the fact you give an other option if you want to play the hand: limp

The A9s hand reminded me of the hand below. This happened some time ago so it took me a while to find in my DB. Villain is 63/33/3.0 over 147 hands and does not top up. Villain is fishy aggrodonk.

Full Tilt Poker $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 9 players - View hand 117957
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

MP2: $24.65
Hero (CO): $25.00
BTN: $25.00
SB: $35.42
BB: $36.11
UTG: $25.00
UTG+1: $24.61
UTG+2: $34.58
MP1: $17.24

Hero posts a big blind ($0.25)

I post near the BTN sometimes to deliberately create a fishy table image. Sometimes the random hand proves a big winner as no-one ever credits you with a hand. Opponents tend to read too much into the solitary act of posting like a fish and overplay marginal hands gifting you their stack.

Pre Flop: ($0.60) Hero is CO with 9 Diamond 9 Heart
2 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.25, MP1 raises to $0.99, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.74, 4 folds

Flop: ($2.58) 3 Club 2 Spade 8 Spade (2 players)
MP1 bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50

Turn: ($3.58) 8 Heart (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $2, MP1 calls $2

When aggrodonk checks I believe 99 is good so I bet but only 1/2 Pot. As in the A9s hand if Villain shoved here I should have called as my small bet has really induced the bluff from the aggrodonk but at the time I wasn't thinking this way and I didn't plan for it.

River: ($7.58) J Heart (2 players)
MP1 bets $13.75 all in, Hero requests TIME, Hero folds

Villain shoves River and I meekly fold. Villain shows busted flush draw.

Final Pot: $7.58
MP1 shows 9 Spade T Spade (a pair of Eights)
MP1 wins $7.21
(Rake: $0.37)

This hand really stuck in my mind because Villain lost two buy-ins at this table over about 3 more orbits and I was unfortunate enough to not get another opportunity to take any of it. If I hadn't have second guessed my read in this hand I would have won ~70BB. At the time of the fold I rationalised it by thinking I'd get better opportunities to be more certain of taking his stack but he lost it too quickly for that and fishies often do.

At 38:00 on tabe 1 hero gets KJo in the CO with 2 limpers and elects to fold. You talk about not having to raise/fold but that he can also overlimp. I'm always hesitant to do that because of the reverse implied odds. It seems everytime i choose that play I flop a K or a J, and I hate playing TPGK in an unraised multiway pot where if there's any action one of the villains is likely to have some crap like 38o and make 2 pair.

Good serie, thanx.
Jooballin is playing deep tables in the first 3 videos.
I always played the regular tables, but since this week i played the deep tables to.
Well, they changed a lot in this 6 months i think.
Most of the players are playing a 12/10, 10/8 style. almost no fish.
It's hard to beat that tables.
At the regular tables there are shortstacks, but they are pretty easy.
What should i play ?

And what about openraise size from the BU/CO, how do you think about making it 3.5BB's there, and if there are shortstacks in the blinds making it 3BB..
What's your opinion ?

I don't doubt that even at 10NL there are a lot of tight players, note that tight does not always mean good and in many cases the opposite - foldint too much is a mistake too!!

With that said finding loose players who will go to far when they are beat is always the main source of any poker players income at micro-smallstakes.
I advise that you concentrate on table selection because I'm 100% sure you will be able to find good tables.
If you do find a lot of 12/10 types be sure to run them over with totally relentless almost maniacal aggression any time they look weak - just remember to have one hand firmly on the ejector seat handle if they ever raise back.

Thanx for the reply, will do more table selection from now on.
I do have Tablescan Tubo, free progam, works good.
I'm pretty active against the 12/10 players, thanx for the reminder.

Much <3 for this series. Coaches were really super-clear and to the point in their advice.

Really would like to see a follow-up to this when Jooballin moves up to 25NL.

And btw, FTP 10NL tables suck imo. Too many 10/4, 12/4, etc. players, Stars is much fishier.

ive watched this series and noticed his 4bb raise. I mostly play sit n gos and am a 3bb guy until blinds get bigger then go 2 1/2. Is 4 bb the norm in these microstakes.

I think at the micros you should make a raise size of 3.5bb and stick to it. This will get you max value and allow you to flex pot size postflop.

As you get more comfortable and experienced you can adjust by position (like 3x from the CO and 2.5x from the button).
