Mike is advocating a call on this river with AK/AQ, but says we should fold our weaker aces. I'm not sure I see the logic here. Do we really think that A5-A9 is a big part of his flop c/r range? I would think he'd call down with those hands, and polarize his c/r range to Tx and pure air. If we're calling AK on the river, we should be calling any Ax imo.

5:30ish
I agree about not 3-betting all Ax in BvB. I generally 3-bet A7o+ and call with A2-A6o. I'll also call with something like A2-A4s a good portion of the time.

I'm almost positive that I misread this board and thought I had a gutshot. I can't remember ever making this type of play with a naked ace. My normal play in this situation would be to c/c, c/c, c/f most likely. Agreed with betting on the river with the ace. I was probably trying to catch a bluff from something like JT.

U two just sit and wacth a video every week and chat. And it's sooo good. Almost unfair IMO.

I liked the discussion on Lela's deciscion with QsTs (~24) abot just calling the flop. This is the spot were I would raise wthout must thought. But I agree with ur reasoning here.

I also think a call is better since we are never/rarely going to be taking a freecard. I much prefer to let the bad player call along with poor equity than to raise and risk it getting heads up with a better hand that probably will be showing down after bloating the pot preflop.

Meh, I don't mind my play in that hand at all. First of all, I dont mind it getting heads up versus what is very likely NOT a better hand at this point, as long as I have some fold equity (which I believe I have, in spite of his hero calldown)

also, the third player in the hand hardly matters at all. I don't think it was mentioned in the discussion, but on the flop cheezeface had only 20 bucks in his stack and they're either going in or not, and I don't really care. if anything, his stack size is an argument for me raising the flop, since he might 3bet a really wide range which would help me get more money in the pot with excellent equity, might sometimes force VUcats to fold, and certainly helps me define VUcats' hand.

that said, i still enjoyed the discussion about the hand (and the vid as a whole) and agree with most of it, i just don't think that there's a bad way for me to play my hand here (as long as i don't fold before the river ldo).

I sat down with TiltyTilty today in a full 6max game. Made me laugh. He's actually sort of a nit.

~33m fnupple w/TT vs vucats w/AJ on AK3 with a flushdraw:
do you think if he had JJ or QQ he should calldown more often because he has better equity versus villain's semibluffing range and has blockers too?

His "blockers" also highly reduce the combos of straight draws that are out relative to Ax or better hands, so I wouldn't call that a positive reason to call down. Sure he should be slightly more likely to call down QQ than TT, but not much.
