Edit: ha, that was fun.

very inspirational episode (as always Smile ). DD, there's really no need to apologize for anything. I'm myself seeing a big disconnect between the way I played most hands and the way I'm thinking about them today. i do remember being unhappy with my play in that session at the time (which was a couple of months ago), and it occurred at a time when i was still pretty new to shorthanded midstakes. but what the heck, i decided to submit it anyway and i dont regret it. at least it provided you guys with an opportunity to agree more than u usually do Wink so not much in the way of me defending my play, actually i think i deserved to get bashed a little more Smile

Nice vid so far. One thing that I'm suprised you guys didn't talk about re: A3 on AQ8 is that when you raise the flop, an average online over-aggressive player will be likely to try and "represent" the ace for whatever reason.

Regarding not threebetting QJ in the sb, my question is basically what are we threebetting in the middle of our range if we're not threebetting QJo. This is still short handed mid stakes online lhe. I mean, I assume we're still threebetting some stuff in the SB, I assume. So are we going to have a super strong threebetting range or a super polorized one or what?

lol threes. epic.

lol mike. who says con-betting?

OMG Threebet KQ here. And if you're playing live tip the dealer when you threebet. We don't lose to anything. You have to discount all sets and QT because he caps all of those preflop. I mean he capped the threes that one time. Not threebetting is silly. I guess he showed up with QT this time, but I'm really surprised that he showed up with that hand.

Finally Mike found a fish who sent in a video Wink.

Was very intersting for sure. Just one complaint/question: Don't u two feel that u are a bit too critical towards many opps? I feel like u take away a lot based on a little information and that it often leads to the conclussion that ur opponents don't know the difference between a straight and a full house. That they are not thinking at all. And if they are, they think something like: "I have a A-high I cap!". I just feel that these assessments are a bit too disrespectful.

(Notice that I'm giving u a waaay too hard time based on very few comments. There must be a moral here for sure...)

You've read Mathematics of Poker right? The section on Bayesian analysis comes to mind here, where its much better to stereotype a player based on whatever limited data you have, and then be willing to re-evaluate when you get new data, then it is to just sit there and ignore things and think "well I'm not 100% sure this guy is LAG, I better just treat him as an unknown".

Also Mike and I make fun of everyone, its like breathing. That said he didn't know anything about OnTheRail15 when we reviewed his 30/60 vid and Mike thought he was super good, so I'm sure he is, cuz Mike never says that.

This is my favorite series on the site. Bravo guys. Keep it up. It's awesome to hear your two different approaches to the game and the ensuing analysis.

KQo at 53:00.
I agree with DD in that villain needs to have a ton of middling strength hands to 3 bet here, very much so because we are never going to fold to a cap. If we are up against relative air, combo draws with awesome equity, or behind to the nuts (drawing to 2-3 outs), there is no reason to raise. We win more and lose less by calling down to the turn raise.

Ciao
