IN your next video can you give us some target numbers to shoot. for. this would be really helpful. like cbet to dbl barell optimum %

WSD% and went to showdown optimal ratio. etc etc.

I am also thinking that since my range is widest on the btn its going to have more air on flop. so I should cbet less? but i do have position. My ep range will hit very strongly on the flop a much larger %. so i can mix in more cbets and still be balance? i am kinda doing the opposite now. pls let me know your thoughts.

another thing i thought of doing is running a filter. bet the river. and then w$sd %. if i am betting pot then i need about 66% nuts. so if after a big sample i am winning 66% on SD when i bet the river then i am balanced. if i am winning more than i need to mix in some more bluffs. if i am winning way to less then i need to reduce my bluffs. I can do the same for turn. not strictly accurate as the river card can change things. But still will give a good idea if i am too unbalanced in either way.

Sample needs to be fairly large for this to make sense. i have 200K hands. will that be ok?

Also can you show us how to work out a optimum ratio between cbets and dbl barells. i understand more cbets need more dbl barells to be balanced. But i want to see this broken down maths wise like you did for the river.

I really like your maths based approach. I have always thought that someone should be able to bring GTO out of the academia and show us how to practically apply it and make money.

Also saw yours and grindcores both came out at almost same time. I really like both. it seems they are opp but I think deep down both of you are using the same leverage.

hi nilay, sorry about the audio and i see what you mean - i don't see a rating option anymore. i do appreciate the positive response though!

as for your other question. it is a very good one. i addressed it indirectly in video 3 i believe, where we talked about having a balanced checking range in a spot. constructing a balanced betting range is the same process.

think about your available hands. you will have to decide to split them up into the two options available - bet or check. if you never plan to c/continue, you will be exploitable when you check (any time you do anything 100% of the time you are by definition exploitable) but this might not be a huge concern for you on some boards.

so let's say you are c/f and betting. with what hands do we fire once? twice? three times?

there is no optimum %, so to speak. of course, if we bet the flop and c/f the turn 100% or instead bet twice 100%, we are unbalanced - we are putting in too little money in the first case and too much in the second. so how often then? as always, it comes down to ranges.

your basic goal is to understand your range versus his on this board, on this turn card.

how much of my range is strong here? how much of his? how much of that is overridden by certain tendencies, like his tendency to fold turns even with stronger hands? how much does my image matter to this opponent? have i been caught valuebetting strong hands? bluffing? has he been floating? on what street does he tend to play the most 'honestly?'

one of the best things you can do is develop an inner dialogue for analysis. generate a series of questions like the above to guide you in these spots.
