Hey guys,

Rusty is working on this -- it looks like there was some sort of odd corruption with the audio file but we're not sure. He's going to reconstruct the vid and retime it so everything syncs up properly, but probably won't have the new version up until late tonight PST. Sorry for any inconvenience.

DC Community,
Sorry for the delay. I have uploaded a new mp4, ipod version, and wmv of this video. The audio is not completely perfect but I have synced all areas where Vanessa discusses the action going on.

vanessa, (or anyone)

I still don't really get the concept of maintaining aggression vs maniacs discussed in the last hand.

Here's what I think I understood you to say:

-maniacs aren't retarded, they do read situations and bets. They're not used to facing raises, so it stands out to them when they encounter them.

-maniacs are likely to think we're re-bluffing them when we raise dry boards vs cbets, and they're probably also likely to think we're semibluffing them when we raise wet boards vs cbets

-if we're reraising maniacs they're more likely to pay us off when we catch.

---

that much I get. Here's what doesn't line up for me:

-if maniacs are expected to read our raises as bluffs a lot, then what value does actually bluffing into that perception have? In effect, we're playing our hand faceup vs his perception of our hand - which could induce rebluffs and light calldowns.

-what's the differential we'll need in order for playing aggressively to make more money than playing passively? If we allow the maniac to bluff multiple streets instead of stopping his blufs with raises, we'll often be playing perfectly vs villain's strategy. We'll need to make quite a bit by stealing pots or making hands in order to outperform this i think.

thanks!

Just a thought but in the future the QTss hand the PF action does change alot of things. Only at the end do they say it was a small reraise and that is why he called. The hand is ~30:39
