Yay, new video from Michaelsc, going to watch it right away!
Michaelsc goes back to the basics. He makes a video geared towards the simple days of micro-stakes PLO. He focuses on premium hands, double suited hands and corresponding aggression, and bet sizing when c-betting.

Great video as per normal michael. Would love to have some coaching / submit a video for you if you would like. I am playing 6max 100PLO on FT.
WE WANT MORE! Awesome vid, awesome game (lol got 4 cards in hand!) but too few videos. ![]()
Didn't expect this, what a pleasant surprise.
You mentioned that you had been playing for a while and gave general assumptions about the playerbase at PLO25. Could you go into detail how you proceed when playing an unknown limit and how long it takes you to figure things out?
At what limit/stakes do you think you can take this nut peddle style of play before you would have to change your playing style??
This video was a real eye opener to me as a micro stakes player. I've been playing far to aggressive at the stakes i play if this vid is anything to go by. Intersting vid, thanks.

Well I wouldn't say that every limit plays different because each table at each limit has different dynamics. At this limit I think it is important to figure out what each player's tendencies are like 3-bet range, c-bet frequency, ability to bluff, are they trying to gamble, are they waiting for the nuts, and things like that. At these limits you can really abuse some of the weaker players if you can figure out what they are trying accomplish and what their range is. You can probably figure each player's style within 50 or so hands. I hope this helps your question.

You can play real aggressive if you are doing everything correctly which will just cause a higher variance game, but I hope you are playing this style optimally. You can play the style I played in this video at almost any limit, but just have to change certain things per opponent. The higher you play the lighter you will have to get it in postflop when their is a controlling player at your table and raise your draws at times more aggressively.
Your videos are the nuts, pls more micro/smallstackes Videos Micheal
Can hear audio, but no video.
Loved the vid, Quick question @ 43:06. You limp with AdQdQx8x UTG +1 and then say that you will call BTN raise if there are a couple of callers. Are you ever raising this from UTG + 1? What if just 1 caller behind raiser, are you calling?
Thanks

It depends on the game on whether you should be limping it or raising, but if you have aqqx suited to the ace then you are fine raising that frequently. It just isn't the best idea to always be opening it if there are a bunch of short stacks behind and if there a lot of people just flatting preflop. You can defend with 1 caller for sure, if it wasn't suited to the ace it could be a different story.

On the bottom left screen (32:05 in), you fold QTdd93ss after 1 limper -- I know these sorts of hands are really marginal, but what's your worst overlimping hand when it comes to doublesuited hands with some connectivity? I often find myself playing hands like QT9x, QJTx, and especially hands like KQJx, especially in position in limped pots. Is this just part of your conscious effort to play tighter in looser games?

On the A76T hand where you turn 2pr and check back @ 34:10, are you more inclined to bet-fold when you are up against one player? I've never really thought about checking back there, though I can see a lot of reason for it when stacks are deeper.

I was definitely trying to play a tigher range in this video for a couple reasons, but those hands you mentioned are really good heads up or 3 handed. So I would suggest either trying isolate with hands like kqjx ds and such and not really trying to overlimp with qj10x ds 4 ways because you are going to get in a bit of trouble play marginal made hands and marginal draws. But overall those hands are very strong and are extremely playable postflop.

I think bet/folding is a good move on a different board, but with that board it's pretty good idea to check back even against one player at times. I think mixing up betting and checking is the best option, but checking back is good because they are forced to bluff the river into you when the draw misses and you get paid more bc you look so weak on the turn when you boat up.

On the lower right table you call raise with AKT4ss from SB. Is this hand really strong enough to call without position, suited AK and dangler 4?

Close. I think it is fine to play, but if you play a tighter style than I don't mind folding it out of position.

Question about the top right table. We fold QJT7 rainbow on the BTN with 2 limpers in the pot. Is this not a hand your raising to isolate? At the very least i think we could limp behind to see a flop right?

Dont you think that leading this flop woul be a better option with only one last pot size bet, is really pretty hard for him to fold, againts aaxx we have a lot equity , and almost any river card kill the action.
