The video is $3/6 limit holdem, not 1/3. In limit we use the small bet, big bet instead of small blind, big blind.
\End nitty complaint
I have played this guy a lot on 6max so this should be very interesting. Let's just say he's not excactly a nit...

that vid is hilarous. And cool video guys. I think against this opponent type I'd be more SD BOUND than hypnotic was (call more turns).
Hey guys, I know you said throughout the video that this guy was peeling a LOT of flops and then often folding the turn. I really like the adjustment you made to barrel more with non-showdownable hands. I was wondering if we should also adjust by trying to screwplaying the turn on occasion?
For example:
~53:05 Jordan QTo in BB
You 3-bet the BTN's PFR
Flop J93r you bet, he calls
Turn 8 - screwplay?
If not, do you feel the idea to screwplay in general is a valid strategy adjustment? What conditions would you look for to employ it?
At 14.25, T
3
sb/btnraise, get 3bet Ax7
9x flop, he bets, hero folds, I feel like we can peel one off here, for backdoor flush and str options, possibly even pair outs are good. Correct thinking?
I wish you guys would edit the video a bit afterwards so maybe "rewind" the action and talk about the hand with the cards still in front of me.
I'm watching this series because I'm new to HU limit and it's difficult to follow what's happening while Chuck is talking about the last hand "he could have T7, 98, and I'm folding any 6" but I can no longer see the board and on top of it I'm trying to follow the action of the hand in progress.
Overall a pretty poor effort in producing this vid, IMO.

I know this is a while ago, but just getting into the HUHU now. Great series.
Chuck says here 'if I check/call with 85 on the flop I don't think I'm folding (the river)'. Why is this? Is it because of some type of hand under-representation?

"If you have an opponent that will bloat pots, but give you free cards, you want a hand that can improve enough that you can hit and win and a hand that will benefit from those free cards. For example, T8 on T54 benefits more from a free card than Q2 on JT3" - Chuck
Maybe I need to get my ears checked, but T8 on T54 is top pair. Why do we need free cards?
Perhaps you meant 98 on T54 or T8 on 954?
ttpmaven,
Yeah. Sorry - Jordan and I were recording very early in the am!

Yup.

I feel like for a live video the duel commentary is making it lack some substance that a recorded vid. would have given us. The reason is it kind of feels like chuck has stolen the mouse in so many spots up to here that hypnotic no longer seems to be in his comfort zone. I am very aware that he obv. hasn't ran as well in the last 15-20min as he was in the beginning but his timing is killing him here imo. Also talking about prev. hands is distracting him from playing the hand in front of him w/ 100% thoughtfulness. I think this would have been a bit better if hypnotic would have recorded the vid and then the 2 of you talked about it. Either way i am still learning from it and enjoying it. I love the series, so thx a lot guys.

~26:10 danzasmack talk about narrowing our oppening hands vs this vilain because he 3 bet lightly preflop, and than he give some hands he would fold, maybe i missunderstood (i relistened to it more than 10 times) but he mentioned hands like 89s, QTo - and did you realy mean that you will fold them pre , or flat call them from btn?
(just seeing this video now, i hope i will get an answer...)
No not fold - I might 4-bet pf I said.
oh english n00b, thank you!
np, I do say it pretty quickly in there.
