Brilliant episode. I would have liked to see some plays that didn't work though to contrast bad situations to play back and good ones.
jewlian, thanks for the feedback.
I realized this after we recorded this first episode...we didn't show any plays that blew up in my face. We've corrected that in future episodes, so you can look forward to that :-)
WoT
honestly I thought this was one of your guys weaker videos. Some of the plays seemed more based on current game flow. To be exact, the turn raise allin on AAQx and you had some sorta Kx. You obviously have a very good handle on what exactly that guy will be inclined to think and do in that situation. I think overall adjustments to the fact he just lost a big pot, he's a fish, etc. are more valuable than looking at that particular hand. As Krantz somewhat alluded to, in a vacuum that bluff may not be as good as just raising the flop or just folding to the flop donk. It depends on his player type, etc.
Overall i just thought a lot of the spots were just slightly too standard.

that is sort of the point of this series! we're trying to explain how to understand and manipulate game flow. i think donk betting is an interesting concept to explore since when most bad players lead into you, they never really have anything - so then the correct adjustment is based on exploring what the best way to maximize profits is based on what you're holding and the board texture. against really good players, the lines can differ vastly, especially in relation to game flow, so that's why we tried to suggest alternative ways to play vs different opponents in our discussion.
just posting to say i am enjoying this series and by best wishes to the 2cracked crew!
"Range of player types!". Eeek.
Thanks for the great video! I'm posting a comment because I really like this joke:
31 minutes in
Krantz: "He could be like, you know, just a chimpanzee or a zebra who happened to escape from the zoo and is sitting at the keyboard, and managed to get lucky enough to be invited to somebody's house for dinner. Maybe some, maybe a petting zoo he escaped from."
WiltOnTilt: "I don't know where we're going with this."
Good luck, Yojimgari
What are you representing at the last hand? 56 and sets?
would be nice having some hands where they did donk bet and your raise/float didnt work.

If he calls this raise ott I assume you are giving up on the river? If not would you always be following through on the river or just on some cards? What cards would be good to use as scare cards otr?

i'd prob give up on a T, 6, or K river and bet everything else
