Great Series. You mentioned VPIP and you tend to have a tight style (as do I). I know it's dependent on many factors, but on avg., what type of VPIP do you have (and see winning players have) during stages:

early:
mid:
late:

Thanks, insight is helping...

@ field size talk: doesnt payout dictate a ton. you kept using the $4 180 man compared to the $3 rebuy.

but in a stars 180 man at least when i played on there 10-18 get payed exactly the same. so when there is absolutely no reward for laddering those spots, you arent risking nearly as much longterm equity in the tourny for the most part unless you already have a large % of the chips in play.

where as in say the $3 rebuy a marginal play doesnt net you nearly as much % the tourny equity in any one single play, so our goal should mostly be to take things down as much as we can without contest. bc we should have plenty of later spots to keep getting chips. and the equity of staying a live longer means a lot more

idk just playing around with that idea in my head

i think people screw up these blind v blind spots a lot. they will fold A7 off to a shover but not j9 suited, and i think people miss the point of this is that our high card is just killing his range.

I actually just began using a HUD recently and getting used to it.

My early game can vary a lot and usually on the tight side, maybe 13/12ish might be an average. It tends to then get more and more aggressive depending on the table and what type of stack I have. I honestly can't really pinpoint an avg yet. Also my 3 bet % also goes up exponentially from antes on.

I see what you mean, I just stress the need for top 3s in MTTs. You need them to be a winner.

Rlly liked this episode as I am very unbalanced when it comes to 3 betting light and never 4 bet light.. obviously have to do it against the right opponents but I look forward to trying to implement some of these plays into my game.. I notice u mentioned in this thread u were somewhat new to using a HUD. I have not tried one yet but am interested in getting one.. as this video was from a few months ago has your hud helped alot since and much does the hud play a factor when determining to play back at certain players??
