This is a really solid episode. I'm really surprised there aren't more comments. My is guess is that you explained it just that well Grin

You completely opened my eyes to a world of check shoving Grin. This is something I don't do at all I've just had a look through my database and found quite a lot of hands where I could have used this concept. Much like your student I've been content to just c/r pretty much exactly as in the 98s hand so this has been a great practical help for me.

SB vs BB shoves and Short btn co shoves: If you've been shoving consistently in these spots and your image is starting to get a bit dodgy how do you go about directly correlating that to assessing opponents calling ranges and our shove ranges? I know this will sound daft but are there any sort of rules of thumb you use say increasing or decreasing ranges by x%. I know a lot of it comes down to pure experience and feel and think I'm getting a lot better at it but any help always welcomed Smile

Keep up the good work, many thanks.

Also the stuff you talked about at the end in other was super super helpful as someone who's starting to take some shots.

I can't give you anything exact as far as a rull of thumb, figuring this out often just comes with experience and what you think of your situation at that exact time. Just keep playing!

Great series!
? what is the proper adjustment against a short stacked random player, one where we don't have a read yet?

There is even a decent chance he will not just open-shove the top of his range here, which makes it an even more +EV call.
