I just started watching and the way the video's been made smaller is really annoying. I can hardly see bet/stack sizes, let alone player names or HUD stats.

It's great to see parallels at higher stakes finally.
About the QT hand where Ariel called a cut-off open on the button and then raised a cbet on a T77ss flop. Do you really think you induce bluffs so often by raising there? Once you raise do you always stack off? Let's say he calls you and checks to you on a blank turn, do you just bet/call? Also, does the fact that there is a flush draw make this play better or worse? I think he might be less inclined to make a move because he can put you on some kind of draw that isn't folding. What do you think? I can see making that play on a T33r flop, but I've never really tried it on such a relatively drawy flop.
Thanks

I don't get this "close to unwatchable", stuff. You can see stack sizes. You can see the cards. You can see the stats. What more do you need? It's not the prettiest video out there, but most things poker related don't acquire the title of "prettiest". I'll admit though, I did want to see what he was typing to us. Not a big deal though.

If you can easily see all of those things, your eyes are a lot better than mine.

edit: The content is good as usual though.

well i just got glasses but still the stats really are hard to see. cards are ok, at best. bet- and stacksizes are a bit of a guessing game. also, i like to sit back a bit when i watch a vid, instead of having to rub noses with my screen all the time Smile

loved the content, and the vid is not "unwatchable"!
its not like they have detailed stats on most players anyway, so its not important..
liked how u addressed the loose high variance style and the discussion of hands in general, def at least 4 stars

On the stream I certainly could not read stats and betsizes and my sight is 20/20.
Perhaps the WMW and MP4 versions are better and the problem is decoding, cause the stream sucks bigtime.

The Krantz boogies bothered me more than the vid quality. Great content as always and I could see bets/stacks fine....little blurry but no biggie. Blow your nose bro Smile

I don't remember the circumstances, but I remember my image being aggro enough that I thought he would get sick of me and play back. I think it's better than on T33 rb because people don't really bluff-raise those boards often.

Hey guys,

We're aware of the video size issues, unfortunately in this case it has to do with KRANTZ's recording technique. I am going to walk him through how to do this tomorrow so that you won't have to deal with it in the future, but unfortunately I don't think we can repair it. I'll look at it a bit more in detail tomorrow when I'm in the office and have all my tools, but I don't think it's fixable in this instance. Many apologies and we'll make sure to keep the quality higher in the future.

thanks,
Rob

Yeah, this was my fault, I've typically recorded these types of videos with an external monitor, but since I was on a laptop I didn't consider the resizing issues beforehand... my bad, I think the content is very good though, and this won't happen again.

PS I'm really sick right now so sorry for the sniffling

To FWF: am curious to your reads on ummmmmm - I mentioned how I thought a bunch of your lines vs him were most likely contingent on him being very tight/afraid of you, am wondering if that's true or he was an unknown?

Resizing issues aside this was one of the best episodes of parallels imo.
Hope you get well soon.

Just a thought, jay or ariel doesn't have the original video file? You could rip the sound of jays vid and synch to it?

my reads on ummmm (i think it's actually ooooh but blurred out) were basically that i remember running some big bluffs on him that didn't work out the last time we played against each other many months ago and that he probably thought i was a bit crazy. he had pretty laggy #s so i thought that he'd be willing to play back a lot but at the same time be cautious oop against me b/c he knows i'm crazy.

When someone pauses a lot during the replay of a video, resync isn't very easy -- that said, that's exactly what I'll be looking into tomorrow, but I need to be on a better computer (today is technically my "day off" -- I'm not very good at taking those) before I can produce it. Given the # of pauses in the vid, it's going to take a lot of work so I'd probably say there's a 20-25% chance of being able to do it, but we'll do our best regardless. Smile

I hope this still gets read now that ep6 got released. I have a question:

In the KJo 5b jam hand at the start (BU open SB 3b BB 4b BU jam), isn't this a thing you do so infrequent that you might aswell wait untill you have a better hand for it?

I imagine Ax suited, or even just Ax being a better hand for this play because you have more equity when called (A blocker so more kings in villains range as opposed to K blocker so more AA in villains range, and suited gives some extra equity aswell). I realize you don't get into these cold 4b facing situations all the time, but at high stakes they should arise frequent enough to pick your hands, right? So instead of going for immediate vacuum EV, you can optimize your range for the long term. I also realize you probably did it for the video just to so it could be talked about, but if you were playing on your own with nobody watching, would you also have jammed KJo or would you have folded and done it with a better 5b bluffing hand (ie, Ax suited)?

Thanks for any answer by anyone to this.

I think given how reraise happy tcblade was on the other table before I started filming that it's massively profitable to shove there with just about any hand that has halfway decent equity vs TT+, AQ+. Yes, Axs would be better but I didn't have Ax, I had KJ and it was still a good play. I don't really believe in "waiting for a better spot" if the one I'm in is profitable: it's not like there are going to be a lot of cold-5bet jam opportunities and jamming in the first one ruins my ability to do anything in the future.
