Vanessa talks with EPT Tallin entrant and DC member Pontus about the turbo side events.
DC shorts are short content bursts brought to you by DC Labs. Roughly 1/4 the length of standard videos, these shorts are designed to review single hands, concepts or ideas. You'll receive the most up to date content available and stay in touch with the latest and greatest here at DC and the poker community at large.  The more you post in the forums the more likely it is your post will be the inspiration for a future DC short!
Premium Subscribers can download high-quality, DRM-free videos in multiple formats.

...but it's about TURBO events...
Frget the 13 min, I saw the high rating, can you 2 genuises who gave this 5 stars write a SINGLE paragraph of substance you learned from this video? (besides you can drink while playing turbos).

Sure can. The concept that the pace of a live structure such as this further increases the inclination of players to overplay their TP/overpair type hands, thereby increasing your implied odds to smash a flop in disguise with hands like suited one-gappers even when taking a small 3-bet. Also, the idea that in this format people might not expect you to be raise-folding from a shallower stack, so that even raise-folding ATC from the BTN when you are short can be a profitable play. Plus, I think, invaluable European trivia regarding the Estonian exchange rate. ![]()
I was amazed at how much just those 14 minutes gave me to be thinking about.
Any plans for more tournamentality videos seeing vanessa's successful WSOP series in 2012? that would be great if possible.
