I noticed that you fold AJo in middle position, but raise 55. Is this a standard line with AJo and small pairs?

Hey,

I noticed right after I recorded this that I'm an idiot and had the wrong boxes checked off for the auto-rebuy, thus why it didn't work.

Re: AJ vs 55 in MP.

This was because of the people who were behind me, most likely. Playing AJo oop against good players can be very difficult, as it's hard to maximize value when you have the best hand. Where 55 is generally played solely for bluff or I have a set aka the nuts value postflop and is easier to play, even against more skilled opponent.

hope that makes sense.

Why did you change to Stars? Previous videos were on Full Tilt! Any specific reasons?

As always, great video Nolan.

I was wondering if you could explain your rationale for the small 3bet size of the JTs from your BB at the 15:00 mark in the video. It just seems that you're allowing him to peel so light, which we obv. don't want when we're out of position w/ a speculative hand. Don't we want at least a little more FE here preflop?

Totally agree that this is b.s. FTP just auto-checks you if you time out and then you can recover if you notice in time before the opponent bets.

Also, wtf is Stars incentive to do this. Yes, maybe they're trying to "train" us to act quickly and speed up play so they can rake an extra pot or two an hour, but they're discouraging their best customers from playing more tables and therefore increasing the number of raked tables, and they're pissing players off when they take our money like that, which I'm sure causes some players to leave Stars completely.

F it, I'm emailing them right now.

For what its worth, auto-reloader stops working at tables you were running before if you close and re-open the software.. so that could have been your problem because you mentioned you were playing earlier and it was working fine. So freaking tilting when you switch computers or re-boot mid-session.

Given eh should have no info on me, I expect him to call pf lightly and give up on a lot of flops.

Raising to 60 or 64 is ok as well. No big reason for the smaller raise.
