This is pretty sweet logic.. I like to use the opposite argument though I'm not sure it applies as directly. I look for spots where I have the nuts, I bet or raise, and they fold a lot.. Say for example we call from the button with 89s and flop the flush, when we raise his flop cbet in position we are going to get a ton of folds.. therefore, our conclusion should be to raise his cbets on monotone boards as a bluff.

By the way, syous you are sick in the mind (a genuine compliment for a poker player). And ty Chipchucker for righting the boat every once in a while. Love these videos.

When he min check raises on the flop, do you ever just call with that flush draw?

nah, pair+fd is awesome. Your best equity is on the flop. We're only screwed if he has a set (he can never have a pair+higher fd) and given he limped preflop, I highly doubt he has a set

This is one of the best series I have watched. The fact that Syous is actively learning and questioning things as he plays is brilliant to watch.

You mentioned that you might play higher, and this is certainly a good idea to illustrate the differences between 2/4 and maybe 5/10+. However, it might also be of great educational value to play some 100NL or 200NL deep-stack where you can demonstrate how loose aggressive play against mediocre opponents can be far more profitable than it is at 100bb stack depth.

Thanks for the love guys. And jjd, thanks for the suggestion. That seems like a pretty cool idea that we may consider for future videos/series.

Thanks a lot! It's funny, I was telling chipchucker a few days ago that I hate making the video but I love doing the commentary with him. It's far more interesting than just playing on my own and I'm glad that's translated onto video.

I love the idea about 1-200nl and even deepstack. Thinking about, 3/6 and 5/10 is kind of unnecessary given that most people watching these vids probably play lower-midstakes and the HU players coming over to 6m will most likely not be jumping into 3-6+ games for awhile.

Hi,

Sorry I don't know how to do a timestamp........ but here goes....

Chipchucker, you said 'do you not like raising there?' @ 11:30

Is this only as bluffalo has 25bb stack and is betting a wide range? Therefore, do you suggest this against 100bb stacks too?

If he did have 100bb and it goes bet/raise/3bet you're likely going to be getting it in bad. Is my thinking correct?

PS - Awesome series, would be interested in seeing some 200nl deepstack (as a 200nl player myself). Of course will still watch if you play higher :-)

Yeah, this is a great format as you get to see if all those crazy plays you always have wanted to try out work or not but just haven't found the balls in fear of getting snapped off.

+1 for this. Syous spews the money and we get to learn free Smile

I like the idea for 100-200NL, since I play lower too!

I like raising there because yeah bluffalo can have a fairly wide and merged betting range there, so if we get him to fold 88 w/ a heart or KT/AT, then that's really good for us. We are also repping a very strong range when we raise, so we get staringelf to fold the best hand pretty often (i.e. QT/QJ/KQ with no heart) which is also awesome for us.

As for raising vs a 100bb stack..it depends. If it's against someone who likes to bet to protect very often..like w/ AT, QT/QJ/KQ, then I def like raising and barreling them off of those because we have outs when called and our line looks very strong and credible. Against most fish w/ 100bbs, I would just be calling and assuming that we're getting at least 1 bet out of him if we spike a heart or an ace on the turn. And if he has something like QJ/KQ w/ a heart, we're likely getting value on turn and river if we spike a heart.

And thank you, I'm glad you like the series Smile
