I feel like sometimes you guys are afraid to make the "weak" play and just give up on hands. For instance when you check-raise bluff four high on an AJ8 board (really bad board texture to bluff with total air, opp. will float and it's hard to know how strong his range is on most turns). Also you act as though folding 66 on KJ8 is a tough decision. Yes sometimes its good to check-raise or even call there, but fold is totally standard.

Agreed. I really like the videos but one thing I definitely don't agree with when facing a maniac is 4 bet bluffing first. Apparently you had played with Meyers24 previously bc I think you said you were back to even on him, so assuming you played him earlier. Anyways, I think the hand was 10d-2d and generally speaking against that type of opponent I would make my first four bet for value. You said he was playing back at you a lot and calling a lot of four bets, three bets etc.

It could have been a small leak but I'm not sure. What was your thought process on this hand? The hand for me would have been totally out of my realm of 4-betting against that player type, and seems like it would get you in a lot of trouble against a player who's range is so wide (ultra-variance).

p.s. - Maybe this comes up in later videos, but would you play less tables the higher up you go? Say from NL200 to NL400? And how many do you like to play?

Hey can you give some time stamps for these? I don't doubt you but I want to see the hand again before I comment on it.

I agree with you about the 2Ts hand. I think I let out an audible "no" when Jsnipes did it, although I think it was in episode 4 I'm sure John remembers the hand. I'd prefer to hold off and just 4-bet a wider range for value and we never really talked about it so I'm interested in hearing John's reason for that. He's in the process of moving right now so it may be a few days.

Also, the only time I play less tables is when I'm taking a shot. I'm comfortable 4-tabling but am a much better player when I'm only playing 2 tables.

The 43 hand is at 77:15 and I can't find the 66 hand, but it was just way too much commentating about what to do OOP with 66 on KJ8. Just fold obv. These are just a couple examples: I just thought there was too much FPS in the vid overall. I'm rumnchess btw.

I think you are def right about the 66 hand. I think the point that I was trying to get across though is to make sure you are at least thinking about all the decision you are making and not just going through the motions where it's easier to make a lot of mistakes.

As far as the T2 hand I will have to look-I just woke up-but a) sometimes you just have to fight back even if it's not the best spot and b) it was sooted.
