nice video DJ.

In my town the casino's PLO game is 1/2, but requires $5 to bring in and the raise size can be to 15 utg so it essentially plays like a 5/5 game but you get most of your blinds back).

You talked about 3betting, and you can label pretty quickly the 1 or 2 guys at the table who are capable of 3betting without AAxx, and the other 7 are 3betting with AAxx exactly. once you know that, the game becomes a little easier.

Deception as in bluffing or slowplaying? Sounds like slowplaying from the example.

This is great timing. I'm planning to do some live PLO in Vegas in a few weeks.

In previous outings, I saw a lot of multiway all-ins on the flop. Quite a lot of "just put the chips in the middle and pray" kind of action, with a pretty wide range, not necessarily the current nuts or draws to the nuts. So nuttiness is absolutely essential.

I noticed the same thing. defintely among shorter stacks (100bb or less) you can get them all in if they have pair+fd, no matter what the fd is, and they have a bunch of random fd's because they are playing 70% of hands preflop

More often slowplaying, at least when deepstacked. Of course you'll want to look for good bluff spots too, but in multiway pots they are pretty rare.

Boredom is a huge leak for me. I start playing really loose/passive in position, hoping to flop something, when I get bored.

One of the things I do to keep from getting bored is hand reading when I'm not in the hand. Since so many hands go to showdown, you get to see how close your range was to what they actually had.
