I'm not a PLO8 player, so forgive this probably dense question - when I've played in the past, I've always been terrified of getting counterfeited on the river when I don't have counterfeit protection, it's just absolutely never occurred to me to check behind on the turn like that in order to get a shot at this play. We're only going to get counterfeited 6 cards out of 44, so risking the counterfeit and the chance at scooping far outweighs the times we get counterfeited.

Have I got the counterfeit part of this right? I realize that I'm just re-stating what you said in the vid for the most part, but you moved kind of quickly past the counterfeit part of it I think .

To keep it short, I did skip over a few side idea's for certain. Yes, the chance for scoop outweighs the counterfeits, but in some cases, the counterfeit card is a great card to either bluff(deuce usually w/A2) in cases where a quarter may have occurred or semi-bluff/thin v-bet/showdown etc when an Ace falls. So even if a counterfeit card falls, you still have options.
