I'd bet 3250 in this spot, imo a fishy player hates to drop past a mile marker like 50K. With a smaller bet their thinking "I can peel here and still have 50K in chips"

I'm one of those players you speak of who sometimes gets confused by limpers in front.
I don't suppose anyone knows of an article, video or thread that discusses this in more detail?
Thanks

do u think betting 1650 or 1750 would be better here? Yes odds are the player is not going to fold either way and as u stated u were just trying to isolate. But I feel like when the limper see's he has to call 950 he is never folding but sometimes people might be more scared of a 4 digit raise, when haveing to call 1050 or 1150 u might take down the this pot preflop a small percentage of the time..

pretty sure this is a standard jam. i know the sunday million gets fairly short stacked deep, but i def don't think you can pass up this spot. It's unlikely that most people are calling with the correct ranges, so i def think this spot is standard.

Yeah, very std jam.

hmmm... I sometimes check/shove that 9-high flop. If you are not good you still have 6 outs, and u have a lot of folding equity.
If I were at this table I would just assume that it was a misclick on your part ![]()

First off Vanessa, I think your awesome. I truly think you are one of the top MTT players today. Love the video series, your a great teacher. Hope to see more deep run videos like this.
I ask this question to learn not to doubt your move.
Is this just one of those situations that you have to put your money in with two paints no matter what? You have to know you are behind and have to catch. But I guess with only 8bb you have to just gamble? This is a spot where I usually do the wrong move and fold thinking I might get through the next small blind then get some free cards hoping to find a better spot to shove. I know it works for you but is this +EV?
Thanks!

You call 8k bet on flop with the 73 on the 66Q board.
Would it be any different if you reraised on the flop, instead of leading out OOP and betting 17.5k on turn.
Does seeing a "safe" turn warrant this turn bet?
If you had the 6, would you check the turn?
Hi vanessa, great vid! just a question on the AK limp i get the rationale behind it stacksize wise, however what % of hands have u limped weak in the tournament on the table on that stack. Do you ever limp weak there? I know a 14 or lower bb stack limp can look extremely suspicious at times dont you think that a limp on 22x looks strong and suspicious from an active+ aggro player like yourself if youve open raised every hand so far?
reraising that flop doesnt rep anything, a 6x would almost never reraise and a Qx doesnt have any reason, a six and Q would always flat the flop so your bluffs have to do the same.

So you're repping the 8 on the turn? If you had q or 6 OOP wouldnt you check the turn and reraise a turn bet by button? And if they checked back turn, you would lead out on river.
Seems that sometimes you use your stack as self destruction weapon,,,

That's such a balla line. leveling yourself i little, but i love your turn shove. when the Kh came i was screaming SHOVE in my head ![]()
Love it....I loved the float in paired board OOP in 3 way pot... Think it represents lots of strength .... loved it

I was curious if a DEFEND is possible here similiar to the A5o hand. Is there a particular reason (its equity) to 3b this hand and not the A5o hand in the BB?
Against a button with a similiar stack to us and Im assuming not much reads that we have on him (he's new to the table) , is that the reasoning for 3b the 64o hand right away?

Just love this, the truth and only the truth:
-I dont know why I did this...
-Sometimes I do some crazy shit and I get lucky...
love this ![]()
Vanessa I love your fucking honesty. Great vid thank you
New to this site, and not claiming to be a great poker player (which is why I joined right?), and from what I know about you, Vanessa, you are obviously one of the best players anywhere and I am sure I will learn a great deal from your videos... so what did I think of this video? Honestly I thought it was terrible .. on the majority of hands I thought you played just awful .. you contradicted just loads of poker theory with your plays .. on several occasions said you didn't really know why you were making plays .. justified other bad plays ...sucked out ... now I understand that playing abc poker won't win many big tournaments and I understand balance, etc. ... but as a training tool which is the purpose of this site, for me this video is next to useless ... its hard to learn any subject matter by looking at exceptions to rules ...

this flat is so bad
pretty much trash offsuit hand vs 3x open and both SB and BB have good stack sizes to squeeze push w
this is just horrible.
