For other format ideas: you could pick out a few key hands and do some more in-depth analysis using maths, combo counting, Pokerazor etc. to show the cross-over point between one play and another, and how the EV of each line changes.
For example, evaluating the EV of a check-raise line with TPWK on a dry board based on the possible ranges that an opponent is cbet/continuing with. Obviously you expose yourself to additional risk (i.e. always getting stacked by better) and possibly miss out on other forms of value (i.e. allowing him to bluff when checked to on later streets). You could also show how it isn't "that" bad if villain only ever continues with his monster hands - simply because we are picking up so much dead money (as long as he really is cbetting with some made hands that he is bet/folding).

Great video and analysis, thank you!
On this 98cc hand, if durrrr bombs the river instead of checking is that a fold or a call? I am just wondering your thought process and plan after calling that 9100 on the turn that set up a pot sized river shove.
I would presume he is bombing there more than half the time would you agree? This is a spot I seem to get myself into way too much (calling that turn bet then facing a bomb very often on the riv)

Hey guys,
First let me say this is absolutely not a disrespectful comment, I love this series and Dani's honest feedback with the same emotional (why did I do that?) output that most do when reviewing hands at some point. Again let me reiterate, love the series, love Dani's videos.
However, what is with the drop in videos on this site? Is action really drying up? I saw foxwood sitting for days with no action. (Full Tilt) Is this just a reality check in where everything is HU? Maybe this is a forum post, but know that most will read Dani's posts as his videos provide substance without it being live.
I have been a member here for quite some time but get the feeling that this site is becoming an after thought. Just some honest feedback.

I think he is saying that DC lack HU videos this season.. and I can't say that I disagree with him. It just seems that you put out a lot of videos for 6max micro stakes & stuff lately (for the last couple of seasons) but that you don't care anymore about your HU players members.
I mean.. it's fun to have those kind of videos (Ansky vs durrrr) and we obviously learn from it but where the stuff for midstakes players like me? Where the stuff for lowstakes HU players? It's been a while since we had more than 1 video /week of HU and it sucks hard.

Def. agree with Thibo. on a lack of HU videos. Love the creativity in presenting info, such as Dani's series, and the WOT/JK3A format, and not being the biggest Baluga fan enjoyed his last series. but... Here is where I guess I am going:
There used to be a couple of videos a week that peaked my interest, with the occasional ghost videos (miss them) and sometimes just a random video at mid to high stakes. To be honest, I might have 1 now and will force myself to watch WOT/JK3A 6max for thought process. (Not the biggest 6max fan) I will take substance over volume any day but please bring the action back. Any HU (NLHE/Omaha)
To put this in perspective, I have been going back and watching older videos (which is fine) but where's the new stuff? Is action drying up for a lot of the coaches on here? People doing other things? Just seems like I have less interest in what has come out lately, and I could be one of the few. What would Joe Tall do?

agree with the above posters
I know you have been adding more FR content.
But the premier HU series seems to still be DogIsHead for most.
(great series)
I think the members want more HU vids for todays games from a solid thinking player around like 200NLHU - 600NLHU stuff.

Gotcha. This season has been light on HUNL videos. I wouldn't say this is for lack of action (although the development of the bum hunting economy has definitely affected the frequency we're able to get really epic HU matches recorded) but mostly a result of instructors traveling, being committed to doing another series, or already working on a HU series for upcoming seasons. Normally we try to release 1-2 HUNL videos/week and I apologize we weren't able to do this during the current season.
Sweeps week is next week and the new season starts the week after that. We're going to start w the end of Dani's series and then move on to a HU version of Wilt and jk3a's "Where the Buffalo Roam." We develop series like these because we feel strongly that they can offer something that we are missing in our body of content, a building block in the body of poker knowledge we're accumulating at DC. We do understand the appeal and the value of sweat sessions, however, and we'll also be releasing Duel videos on Sundays as often as we can.

I'm really lost here, You say all these reasons for Tom to be discouraged from bluffing, but then say you would still call. Considering that there are very few hands you will actually fold to this river bet that are in your range he perceives, what difference does the strength of AK make?
Also I've heard you say in other videos if you find yourself in a situation where you think "i'm going to bluff catch here because villain will bluff with x x and x" and then villain checks with those very hands you thought he would bluff with, that you should then change your thoughts on villains play based on your information.
that being said, the fact that Tom didn't bluff here means that he was thinking along the same lines as you that it would be a bad spot to bluff thus making your AK call bad in hindsight should you have made it right? I don't understand why after seeing that you would still say that you would prefer to call.

He can be valuebetting worse occasionally, and I have blockers to a few of his strong hands (my hand is better than QJ or something, even if he is unlikely to bet anything in between the two hands).

Why is Durrrr checking the river after turn goes check/check and against which opponents is it a good thing to do from time to time?
He probably (correctly) thought that he could get in an extra raise because a big % of the hands I'd call the river with would bet anyway, and potentially could call a raise (9x, tt jj). Obviously he loses value from hero calls with worse.
