A question to everyone watching, what would you do with KK vs the opponent described as opening QQ+ from UTG? And why would you take that action?
For the purposes of this question assume that they are not going to be aware of our strategy at all, they are just playing their own cards (as in no metagame).

Great series... quizzled by the question though as all in preflop with KK vs QQ+ shows as having 49.995% equity on stove.
So could it be better to call.
If the board comes down Q** villain is likely to bet all hands the set, AA and the other combo of KK, can we float this flop with KK... if the turn bricks and he continues to bet could this allow us to get away from our hand? hmmm
On the other hand if there is a A on the flop or the turn and villain only bets one street can we lean towards putting him on QQ putting us ahead...
To be honest I am probably far too trigger happy to just get it all in with KK pre-flop so would like to see what other people would do in this situation.
Love the series though and this episode was excellent... just d/l stox ev

We can call here b/c we can play the flop perfectly:
1) Flop contains an A and/or Q and he shoves we fold b/c we are way behind. (Except the times a Q flops and he has KK).
2) Any time he checks we bet and he folds.
3) Flop contains all cards lower then a Q and he shoves we call w/ 50% equity.
4) Flop contains a K with an A and he shoves we fold b/c he can only have AA.
5) Flop contains a K without an A and he shoves we call as a huge favorite over AA or a set of Q.
6) Flop is QAK and he shoves we call w/ 50% equity.
7) Flop cames KQQ and he shoves we call w/ 79% equity.
8) We call every time we hit quads too!!!!! Like that ever happens.
So, we are never getting it in worse then preflop and sometimes we are getting to soul read him.

HI Shuttle, I think I'm missing something on this point. If we're betting more top pair hands on the turn are we not making out range on the river weaker in this spot because we've checked back, giving Villain even more equity on the river as we have more air?
+1
Ya I think your right and I was thinking the same thing. Would like to know what shuttle has to say about this

I think the language might have been a bit confusing, what I'm trying to get at is that if our range is too polarized then our opponents weaker hands like A high and middle pair can now call vs our range if our range doesn't have hands that beat A high in it.
So if we are habitually checking back pairs, the times that we DO bet we are left with a more polarized range and if we follow through bluffing with a high frequency astute hand readers will pick up on this and be able to call us down with hands like A high. If we now started to bet with some paired hands, our opponent is no longer able to call us down with ace high.
