the vid stops after 2:29 and the same for michaelsc video? is it the vid or my computer? all the other vids seem fine.
WiltOnTilt and jk3a remember a time. A different time where hole cards came in sets of four and drawing hands were the nuts. They remember a time when they tried the game of PLO
Ghost the best of DeucesCracked in the shorthanded games they play in today.

it works for me,but I know your problem,I have it sometimes too.try to restart your browser or download instead of streaming.
question about the hand w/ twin-caracas(13:22 left in the vid). do you guys still feel he played that flop tricky? seemed fairly standard to me. i guess from a nlhe perspecitve it might seem a little tricky but hand protection for top2 doesn't seem that significant, since any overcard can easily make someone a better 2 pr and with the board texture, he would be putting money in the pot "for protection" when so many scare cards can hit the turn. seemed like he played it safely. like a made set waiting for a safe turn on a 2 flush board. more thoughts?
a very good vid with respect ot bet sizing and inducing action!

In hindsight, I like his play and I believe we tried to incorporate it in another hand in this video?
OoP you cannot represent with much credit the flush on the JT hand. Any opponent that is competent at hand reading will call that bet off. The reason being is you will not C-Bet a naked flush draw here and if you indeed had JT with flush draw you would just B3B the flop and get it in. So here you when you c/c the flop your only hands are JTxx or possibly a set with some other type of draw. It is interesting to discuss here, what is the most effective bluff line in PLo. It is quite different to NLHE.

thank goodness there aren't too many competent plo hand readers!
but that said, i don't think we'd necessarily bet/3bet all in with JT + diamonds there 100% of the time. We could definitely have a set + flush draw or similar and take that line.
WoT

Sure if you have QQ + diamonds you will b3b here, but b3b JT with diamonds is also what you would be doing. That is because freerolling someone in PLo is one of the most profitable spots in the game. I sincerely hope you guys start making more PLo videos because this one was a treat to watch. I extremely enjoyed how you guys discussed the important concept of turning a made hand into a bluff, it is one of the few concepts that many struggling PLo grinders fail to employ; taking the NLHE mentality of checking back a hand with show down value when in PLo the idea of showdown value is greatly depreciated due to relative hand strengths.
Good stuff, make more please but make it available to me exclusively. Thanks!
Hay guys,
I think I like a slightly smaller bet on the turn, especially against a good regular. You will have no problem getting all in, which is pretty obvious. I think a 3/5 pot bet here has about the same fold equity, plus you have a chance of bluffing the river if you so choose.
EDIT: On the JT hand taht is.
I really enjoyed this. The banter between you guys, especially because you are NLHE players feeling your way through, was entertaining as well as informative.
Maybe a stupid question, but in the hand where you both flop the nuts w/ JTxx and you bluff-represent the flush on the turn, you mention about how checking the river is best since bluffing again is futile given that he'll get 4:1 to call. So you're definitely c/c'ing the river and not c/f'ing, right?
Oh and Jared, if you ever decide to give up your career at poker, I'm sure you'll have opportunities in the radio industry. Listening to you sounds like I'm listening to sports radio fo sho.

We are def. c/f the river. PLO players do not vbet thin in general and it's almost impossible for him to have a bluff if he bets the river.
And thanks for the "radio" comment. I actual do have a slight interest in that field.
I think the last hand (AKKJ,ss) is fairly irrelevant on the flop. I mean there should be no turns you fold on if you flat call his flop c/r. The only argument for his range is to fold a turn Ten, but that's maybe it. Any Ace might give him a set or straight, but we have outs and the right price getting ~3:1. Any 3 might give him Aces up, or might give him a weaker two pair than our now Kings up if he flopped JTxx. Any 9, 8, or 7 might give him a straight, but we have the NFD still + gutter to the nut straight. Yeah you have no FE on the flop, but probably don't on any turn either. The money's going in either way so it really doesn't matter.
Great video! Would love to see some more of these since I'm also a PLO beginner ![]()
