I think we should bet smaller than half pot. Just because this guy can't really have any flushes that we beat on the river. We want him to make a stupid curiosity call.

Steve - that guy was platinum star.
What you might be able to infer from that is
a) reg obv
b) High likelihood at 25nl that he is a mass tabler given vpp per hand to get platinum would be 50k-100k range a month at a guess.
which would tell us abit about how fit or fold he can be - and the fact that he is still playing with a wide gap - prolly means he has some pretty large PF leaks.......
anyway
nice vid.

whoa, platinum at 25nl. that's intense haha. he's probably super exploitable.
On the QTs out of the BB - you said you dont like calling because you dont flop well enough often enough.
No squeeze possibility - given it is near the top of our folding range with a tight opener and loose SB?

why are we wanting to squeeze a tight opener again?

Yeah, these tables--especially the one on the left--were playing very aggressively. Sometimes it seems like everyone gets the urge to 3bet some days. I was definitely dealing with higher than average 3betting when I made this, especially against the particular guy that I 4bet.
On that note, the Euro tables seem to have a higher maniac-to-nit ratio than the USD tables (which can get pretty nitty at times). I think it's pretty safe to say there are more bad LAGs on Euro tables--this table being no exception.
About the 77 hand. I almost always raise there. If I can remember what I was thinking there (I recorded this a few months ago), I'd say those guys were already proving to be pretty sticky PF--the guy in MP especially didn't seem to have a fold button. They also both had about 1/2 stack. But it's still to early to just check here, imo. I definitely played a few hands too passively in this vid, this being one of them.

Yikes, yeah I made that 4bet way too big. Also I could have sworn I 4bet him with an Ax hand. Memory is faulty! I'm pretty sure I was planning on folding to a shove here. $6-$6.50 would have been MUCH better. I had a few bet sizing issues in this vid. I'll definitely be working on that.
Also, yeah, I could also have just folded. I haven't re-watched this vid but I thought he had 3bet me more than once at this point, or I would have just folded--I think. ![]()
I forgot how helpful recording sessions is. I'll be doing this more often just for my own review purposes!

A bit of FPS here I think. Yeah Pav was a little squeezey, and 3bet a ton in general, but (s)he may be onto me at this point. I mean, it'd probably be sexy to back raise on video
, but this is a super standard 3bet. And yeah, that raise is gonna fold out everything. So much fail ;(
With the previous AA hand though, I think calling the 3bet was the best play, but I agree with tuba, I should have continued to slowplay on the flop. (S)he has a very wide range, and also a tendency to auto-cbet in a 3bet pot. In other words, (s)he has a wide range both pre-flop and on the flop and I should be doing my best to keep as much of that range from folding as possible. The board is a bit drawy, but not so much that it smacks her range in the face. So I shouldn't be scared to just call IP and see if (s)he continues to bluff on the turn, imo.
Isolate the 27/15 with position.
Sure nit has tightish opening range but his continuation range which is not 4betting QTs is not in that bad a shape with intiative.
Another great vid. Hit my "learning range" perfect, dig....Y brother doing a good job of aXeing about grey spots I find myself in.

Picture looks like sup bro's skinny younger brother. (of course it's tiny on my screen)
Nice video guys. Started kind of slow, but solid episode this time.
Nice play CDA.

With regards to the AA hand, I think raising would be to not allow him to draw with the right equity? with maybe KcQc, KcJc, KcTc, or 7x8x. I'd normally think players who donk bet there would be trying to throw you off to get a call for the draw?

The villain in this hand didn't donk bet. Pre-flop (s)he 3bet and I called because this person was 3betting a ridiculously wide (and correspondingly very weak) range (15%). (S)he likely had nothing and was planning on 3betting and cbetting the flop and then be done with the hand. So we shouldn't really be overly concerned about villain completing a draw. By slow-playing here we keep as much of their weak range in as possible, which is why I think my raise on the flop was bad--especially such a large raise.
Against a less crazy 3bettor, we should most likely just 4bet and get it in pre-flop.
"If it's a picture of a dude or a baby he's probably a fish." I love it. I literally said this almost verbatim last night
