Hey all,

Sorry for the abrupt end - I mentioned I wanted to sum things up for everyone but was unable to do that the way I wanted to while I'm traveling. So via the goodness of our forums, I'll do that now.

Lightsabers (One) was all about setting up a strategy for playing 6max NL with an emphasis on using the power of position as often and as effectively as possible. Y'all became comfortable with the way I think about strategy and hopefully you were able to take something away from that, especially with regards to improving hand reading.

Lightsabers Two was to an extent a bunch more fun for me to make since I could jump right into more advanced discussion without needing to slow myself down. We focused on playing deep stacked NL, playing vs regulars, how and why to adjust bet sizing and gave you some insight into what it takes to be a winner at 100/200NL and higher.

Put together, I think these 16 episodes form a primer that has something for everyone, whether it be the .10/.25 beginner or 25/50 reg. I'm around to answer any questions anyone might have!

May all your move of honours go uncalled,

J

Hi Krantz!

I really enjoyed this video but I have some questions:

-about preflop bets: U usually bets 3.5BB pf on 5/10 and on 200/400 also (if nobody calls behind you). I usually play on 10/20 or a bit higher and regulars starts betting a bit smaller, because of the lots of 3bets imo. Most of them bets 3BB but there are few regulars who often bets just a lil bigger than 2.5BB on 25/50. Whats your opinion about it? 3.5BB does not cost too much because of the preflop-agression from other players?

- Have u got any idea, how these sh games will look like in 2010-2011? I know this question sounds a bit stupid, but I have no clue... People might make 5bet-bluffs in every second hand? Smile Or is there any option?

(Finally, my English is not the best as u can see Smile)
Thanks,

GL everybody!

Hi Krantz,

I have a couple of questions regarding 6max deep in general. You might've mentioned it in one of your vids already, but I'm too lazy to search through all of them. (I play 2/4-5/10 btw)

How does your 3betting strategy change when deep? For example: if a normal 23/20 UTG opens and you're on the BB, what would be your 3bet range both 200deep?
What if the CO opens?

And my other question, one which I struggle with currently:
I also tend to flat on the button quite loosely. However, even tough I think my postflop skills are good, they're not as good as yours obv. What do you think is a decent flatting range for me? And what hands that YOU call with, I should fold (or 3bet?).

IMO preflop raise amts just depend on personal preference, sometimes I mix it up with 2-3bb opens, sometimes 4, depending on who is at the table and how loose I'm playing.

No idea how the games will look in a few years. If I had to guess, they'd play a lot like they do right now. Hopefully by then the US legalizes online poker and there will be more fish!

Hey krantz, liked both your lightsabers videos a lot. You and whitelime seem to have some of the best 6max cash videos available anywhere.

I have a question that deals with exploitative vs balanced strategy of river overbets. It doesn't really apply to this video specifically, but I know I've seen you employ overbets in your videos.

It's pretty obvious that most of your overbets (against weak players) are exploitative, often saying you'd bet less if you were actually valuebetting, or vice-versa. It's also pretty clear that this is a vastly more profitable strategy than having a "balanced" range in these spots, given you're able to exploit your opponents reasonably well (and not the other way around).

So I guess my question is... what's the point of me pondering these balanced strategys? Is there any? Even my most thinking opponents won't be able to magically "know" what my frequencies are, until he's amassed a huge sample of hands with enough of these situations to look at.

Sorry if this just comes off as a rant. I'm just trying to figure out where "balancing" fits into these type of situations which seem to be handled best with a mostly exploitative approach.

Hey Krantz,

Throughout the series you obviously display phenomenal hand reading skills, but it would be great to refine the point a little further and focus on river play and its many variables, (value betting, value schipp, overvaluebet, laying down hands and thin calls, bluffing, OBbluffing, bluff schipping)..
This might even make a good episode for "Unconventional Wisdom"?

I think this topic is a little open to be answered within the forum, but for any videos in future I think it would be great if u can deeply elaborate river play, or even make a video focusing on probably the most boned-up street in NLH.

Tnx - DW

hey great series, J.

Hand at the end where u barrel Q10s against the tight player who called oop on a raggish board (8xx or something). You bet and plan to barrel some overcard turns, hoping to get him off a mid PP. I feel like he's almost never folding the flop after calling oop pre. Seems like he always has a mid pair at worst (i don't think he's calling AQs even oop- not sure how deep u were, though). Anyway, u decide to barrel turn even though it's a blank.
I guess my thought is that it seems pretty bad to ever just bet flop here. Either check or plan to double barrel any turn. U agree or no?

**btw, are u dunking yet!? I could dunk in high school, not sure if i ever will again, though. might have to join u in ur plyometric training Smile

the ending to this video is mega retarded with it being cut off in the middle of the sentence, and obv. with no final thoughts that were announced..
Other then that, a solid video..
